Exactly like our goober here.....
You must have a mouse in your pocket, what's with this "our?" A vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil. I'd work out your own salvation with fear and trembling and worry less about others.

Still waiting for one "good" thing Trump did that the Bible commands <crickets>.

Fulfill means to "one up" or make stricter meaning he added two Laws, guess what they were? You missed this part: "law AND prophets" (both of which you said we're not under).
Wrong again, little guy.....

verb: fulfil
  1. 1.
bring to completion or reality; achieve or realize (something desired, promised, or predicted).

Wow! You're an intellectual heavyweight! Webster's dictionary?

Here's the word from Strong's:

πληρόω
plēroō
play-ro'-o

From G4134; to make replete, that is, (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc.: - accomplish, X after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply.

Not wrong, lulz. Not once does it say "do away with."

Again, Christ taught the opposite in Matthew 5:17-18, go figure.

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets"

Just making a note here, since I don't have my notepad at hand, so that I won't forget what I didn't want to forget but had to take a minute to try and remember what it was that I meant to make a note of...

The thought came up, while I was out to pick some mint from Ma's on the way to grab some Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers' cat food (he's so picky), to meditate on the distinction between tasting the goodness and eating the goodness, i.e., the flesh of the mint. For example, I could taste the mint simply by bruising it with my teeth, but to eat the mint, I would have to swallow it completely. And if I did the latter, there's no way I would really spit it out if I wanted to...

My finicky Finster will taste the seafood flavored varieties of Fancy Feast, but he won't eat any of them.

If man is judged by their works towards others as even Christ taught (Matthew 25:40) then obviously we can go from being saved to condemned by not repenting of our sins against out follow man (for example: murder, adultery, false witness, etc).

Am I speaking koine Greek here or something?

Yes, it's scriptural - see Psalm 6:8 and Luke 13:27.
No I just wanted to make sure I was addressing what you are actually saying and not just what "I think" you're saying. I got it.

So you believe being born again isn't being saved, but being placed on heavenly probation. We are saved and the whole weight of our salvation is placed on our shoulders and is completely dependent from then on on our works.
My question is, how on earth do you not see this as works based salvation? You don't see it for exactly what it is? I hope the way I worded this expose's to you just how completely unbiblical and nonsensical this view is, but somehow I doubt it.
Really you're saying that being born again isn't being saved, it's just a shot for you to maybe be saved if you're good enough.
This is stupid and 100% unbiblical no many how many scriptures you rip out of context to support it. What a weak and pathetic God you've imagined up. You should check out the REAL God that saves in POWER, whose hand NOONE can snatch me out of, who will keep me and bring the good work He started in me to fruition. That's the real God that Jesus was and told us about. Not some powerless probation officer.

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets"
He stated this before His death and resurrection, there is a sequence to scripture and a consideration given to the audience.

Once He fulfilled the Law, died and was resurrected He left His Spirit so believers live under GRACE.

Romans 6:14: “For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.”

No, He said "until heaven and earth pass away."

We're still here. :)

"Heaven and Earth" did pass away in the 1st century, that is an idiom/phrase as a reference to the Temple, it was the place where God resided on earth until the veil was rent and now He abides in the believer's hearts.

I suggest you find a church that does not preach law keeping it is very damaging to the soul, unless one is self-righteous of course.

You cannot keep the law even if you tried, there are 613 laws (there is no separating them into moral and civil and all that) and plus the law was given to the Jews not the Gentiles.

Wrong again:

1 John 5:3; "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."

So how is loving John lying since you claim the Law "can't be kept" even though God still commands it in His Word? How are you showing God you love Him then? With justifications of lawlessness?

"Heaven and Earth have already passed away?" Wow. Just wow.

That blanket statement is a whole new justification for rebelling against God and the Bible that I've never heard before. You've made my day. We live according to every Word of God. "Idiom" indeed, lulz.

I have not forgotten that you did not answer my question about salvation.

Can a person lose the gift of salvation, the one that is received by grace through faith?

Be courageous now!!

Oh, but I did and very well most think.

Matthew 19:17, Matthew 24:13, James 2:14-17, Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14 (and more) all say you can.

Gifts can be taken back. :)

As I suspected.
You nullify the work of the cross and the resurrection of Christ Jesus.

There is no Peace and Grace in your theology. Have a change of mind, repent!!

For a topic about a political candidate, this thread sure has taken some very weird turns.

... Is what I would have said if this conversation had happened in any normal social venue. But on this forum it's not only common, it's expected.

If I started a thread about key lime pie, people would be questioning each other's salvation in less than 2/3 of a page.

13:1 Let every person submit himself to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are put in place by God.

Whoever God wants to fulfill His Will will be elected, not someone's vote.

All the law people (except those who believe in sinless perfection) skip over two great commandments...
  1. "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." (Mt 5:48)
  2. "Be holy, for I am holy." (1 Pet 1:16; Lev 11:44, 11:45, 19:2, 20:26, 21:8)
If a person fails in any respect to be perfect and holy in all his ways, there is no path to rightness with God apart from forgiveness.

Not at all - aside from the three brainwashed non-Christians pushing for their demonic leader over Jesus most on this forum agree with me. If you could only see my inbox.

It's more for the benefit of the lurker. Those that erect false idols are a lost cause anyway. ;)
Don't think that Jesus is on the ballot. Wonder who his VP choice would be?

Probably John the Baptist, lol...

"Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist" (Mt 11:11).

It’s pretty obvious, but from the posts in many of the threads here a lot of people are going to vote for Trump.

Too bad.

Republican Voters Against Trump is what you should take a closer look at.

I voted for Trump in 2016.

Never Again!
