Here is a true story. You guys above just brought back a awful memory,lol.
My parents were loving, but weird with food. They would give us kids.....COWS TOUNGE!!!!!!!
Oh ya.....my father would make it a production to boil that sucker, plop it out on the cutting board...make funny faces and eye rolls and make us eat it!!!!! It was so grose. I don't think I need to say anything more...

I actually like tacos de lengua. I don't know how I would have handled it as a kid though. I suppose that if I had been a Mexican peasant child and it were presented as normal food, I would have accepted it.

Ohhh no,I was just saying...you act very confident,that's all. I know though...sooooo many women deal with looks & self-esteem. Men have really not helped this issue one bit. Sometimes I want to write a big huge apology across the sky telling women I am sorry that men have pushed a lie onto you about how you should look. Granted women have chosen to accept that lie,but when uit is drilled into you from a tiny age that your worth comes from men and how pretty you are...that must be a terrible weight & pressure to feel you have to attain or live up to.

LOL...see,I can't drink wine...I might be allergic,though I have no actual proof of this other than after a half glass I get a splitting headache. Now tequila,rum or vodka...no problemo...not even slightly a tinge of badness involved.

I've been told I'm gorgeous and beautiful and all that, but the men that said that to me turn out to be awful men. So my mind says, "Okay, if they lied about pretty much everything, then they must have lied about my looks too." Which may or may not be true, but since I can't separate the lies from the truth regarding them, I have to assume they lied about how attractive I am too.
I'm sure that's unhealthy, but it's how my mind works at the moment.

1. Raisins. SICK. Evil, yes. Vile. Revolting. Chocolate covered isn't even good. Yogurt covered isn't even good. They're just wrong. WRONG.

3. I thought it was bad when my mom would make us eat ham and beans...a lot. It was cheap. But cow tongue? I saw one in the store...and gagged just looking at it...yuck, and sorry that ever went down.
4. Aimee...I said this in a PM, but I'll say it here too- just because the men who've told you good things about yourself were liars and maybe didn't mean all the compliments when they said them doesn't make them untrue. You're beautiful, brilliant, and awesome. If they can't see that and respect it...I'll sic the deer on them (well...deer can kill a dog, I dunno how they'd do against a human).
5. I'm so tired of people just assuming that I want to do things for them...I don't mind helping people out, but sometimes it would be nice to be ASKED.
