I know this is a sill thing but maybe someone has the same problem and can share some bits of wisdom. well I start every morning in devotion. bible study, reading and prayer. my problem is when I pray my mind wanders. I catch myself and realize " hey i'm supposed to be praying. I will get back on track until I go off again. I truly want a good prayer life. I dot talk to the Lord all through my day its just my morning prayer time. Thank you!

Oh wow, someone else who's like me! Yeah, I have a symptom called "maladaptive daydreaming". I can't say that you do, but for me, it's a condition that's tied into my dissociative disorder. My inability to handle stress causes me to dissociate from reality and one of the symptoms of this disorder is that I daydream to the point that it interferes with my life. There are a lot of times when it's hard for me to focus enough to accomplish cleaning, bathing, and even eating. Not that I don't do those things! I do! It's hard for me to do them smoothly and punctually on a daily basis.

This may not be your problem, but for the most part, it's all demonic influence. Everyone has some sort of demonic influence in their lives because Lucifer doesn't want us to have a connection with God. Rebuking him in Jesus name works.

... Now ... the part I want to know is how I can permanently rebuke Lucifer and have him leave me alone for the rest of my life?

Same. Hopefully, at some point in our lives, we can overcome this.

Are there ever times that you have such vivid and fascinating daydreams that you feel like they have a secret purpose for your life that you don't entirely know about or understand? Have any of your daydreams "came true"?

Not yet , I’ll watch out for that. I have done something or been somewhere and felt I had been there before

Hi mrh,
Prayer life is often interrupted too, and am often already rushing in the morning, so i cannot say i've done 'proper' prayer in the morning. But i think we do need to talk with the Lord during the day, for that is when i tell Him what i knew i missed to say in my morning or evening prayer. Can you have the Bible in the morning, so His word guides you in what you pray abt? And another effective way for me was learning Scripture songs wc i remember anytime during the day, wc i associate w/ something i need praying abt. For ex., my thinking is going negative, then i sing Whatever is true, whatever is noble... right... good... as a prayer. Sometimes we're just too tired at night, and as i slide myself to bed on my tummy, i say my prayers until God sees ive gone to sleep!

Praying the Holy Spirit anoints your prayers, and the daydreams come at other times. God bless.

thank you for your encouragement, I do talk to GOD all day, in my daily activities my concern is like yours. I can hardly ever sit down to pray and get through it without getting sidetracked. thank you for your time and prayer. GOD bless you!
