The night Jesus was arrested he kept coming back and waking up his disciples and asked them to be watch. The disciples probably were tired after the Passover meal with a full tummy. Do you think they were to understand Jesus was to be arrested that night?

IMO I don't think so but to fulfill a continuous prophecy!

Exodus 12:40 The time that the people of Israel dwelt in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years. 41 And at the end of four hundred and thirty years, on that very day, all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt. 42 It was a night of watching by the Lord, to bring them out of the land of Egypt; so this same night is a night of watching kept to the Lord by all the people of Israel throughout their generations.

I see those others tried to get oil from the Ten Virgins in that allegory given.

He says ask the Lord of understanding and brings those things worthy of sacrifice. You see the spirit cannot dwell in an unclean body. Meaning you cannot gain insight if you still have your old understanding. The Lord tells us to come naked, like a child, knowing nothing and then repent and be clean. Then when you know you are weak and you know you dont know anything, and you are searching how to LIVE RIGHT, not just believe and still be caught in the world in the same knowledge and understanding. The power of God is to conquer the world, to drive evil and wickedness away from yourself and from others with understanding of life and the knowledge of judgement. The 2 edgedsword.
When you understand thses things, you won't worry about doctrine.

Since no first born flesh can be perfect, no one's has but Son.
Jesus the risen Son after death one time willingly reconciled us all 2 Cor 5:17-20 in the willing death. That is done, John 19:30 to make us whole in the risen Son leading in Father's Spirit and Truth through us, once anyone is willing in belief to see itand stands in it no matter how long it might take to see it. Will you do that over being religious?
God sees you through Son's done work as if you never sinned, might be time to respond in thanksgiving and praise to God. Not others and Get rewards from others as if you got it. Maybe you decide I have Col 1:21-23 is the new life God gives in risen Son at no charge to anyone. Just seek it out John 4:23-24. Son took it all willingly to save us each personally in his risen Life given us from Father to be content in whether rich or poor, in sickness or health you get it God loves us all. not of the first born flesh. We are to be born again in God's Spirit and Truth , the Holy Spirit to be our comforter in teaching us truth.
To start with, no flesh can be perfect but Son's that did it, it is done by Son. Son said so in John 19:30. Then risen to give new life to all that believe he is risen, then Father giving this free of charge to love all charitably, to those that are sincere in ti alone. Seek this truth from Father in risen Son personally and see new in the same love and mercy given us all from God in Father's Spirit and Truth John4:23-24 for us all to decide each personally. Then gather together in this great news of true Love, charity from God for you and love all charitably the same John 13:34. Stop the accusing and abusing one another as gatherings in religions continue to do
Romans 2:1-4 Do not forget God has reconciled us all unto himslef to teach each person new in the same love and mercy of Son given first.

No person will see Jesus until they are with Him because it is of faith.

That is why Jesus said blessed is the person that has not seen Him but believes.

Some people say they have seen Jesus but they have not for that violates faith.

I live by faith knowing I will not see Jesus in a visible image until the resurrection.

Which we should not want to see a visible image of Jesus for we cannot but keep ourselves Christlike led by the Spirit to be prepared for His return.

So what was the point of Jesus death and resurrection and the holy ghost? If all we need do is believe. If everyone that believes gets taken up in resurrection? Who is the wheat and who is the tare? The ones that believed harder in their mind?
Hebrews 13:21: "Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ.
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

This is after you have repented, to keep your patience and faith that God will help remove your sins completely. Him dying for our sins, was so that we would not end in destruction with the wicked. And coming into the faith is because you wish for a new way. The right way, the way to life. Just said he does not need praise from men. What point is a bunch of people saying they believe in Him.
Why would paul say these things...

Ephesians 3:3-7,16-19
[3]How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
[4]Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
[5]Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
[6]That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
[7]Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
[16]That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
[17]That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
[18]May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
[19]And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.


You see. The prayer for the revelation of christ in our heart, which is the understanding of what you are doing. To bring peace and rest, to be able to wait and be perfect, so that when he comes, we will not be found without.
