Ladies generally like it when you choose dates that demonstrate you know them as a person and have paid attention to what they are drawn to. If she has mentioned she likes animals then she might enjoy a trip to a petting zoo, animal sactuary, or a farm that accepts visitors. Or if she likes learning then maybe a museum, historical site, or trivia night at a coffee shop. If she's competitive then maybe an escape room or laser tag. If she likes nature then a hike or picnic would be fun!
For me personally, it has nothing to do with how expensive the date is, or being "impressed" with something elaborate. I just like to know the guy has paid attention and was able to come up with something we'd both enjoy.

Thanks!! I'll keep this in mind. Would asking her friends what they do with her for fun be a good idea? We don't really know each other well. But shes definitely competitive.

Sure, that's a great idea! They could probably come up with a great first date idea, and you will win bonus points with them for asking 😉😎
But do use the first few dates to listen and try to figure out on your own what she would like, it's a skill that will serve you well for the relationship in general! 🧐🤓

To just slightly add to the good advice you have already been given, try to do some things which give you the opportunity to actually talk to each other. In other words, your dates don't always need to be "thrilling" because the "thrill" will eventually die.
I have a friend who is always taking his dates to "exciting events," but the problem is that the "excitement" eventually ends, and then it is just two people left alone with each other. In his case, his relationships always end abruptly once the "thrills" or "excitement" end. Again, try to do some things where the two of you actually have time to talk to each other while getting to know each other. Ultimately, something as "uneventful" as grocery shopping together should and will be as "thrilling" or "exciting" as any "special event" if you are with the right person.

If she is competitive, and just saying that at sixteen... talking to her friends may not be the best idea,
as it could be misinterpreted and come back to bite you. Ahem. How about asking your pastor, since
you know her from church? He may know something about her likes and dislikes (he should!) and
all round is a higher road to take where no intentions can be misapprehended.

My advice is not to do anything with her that you wouldn't do with a married woman, married to another man. Would you want another man making out with your wife? Well, if this woman became another man's wife, he probably wouldn't have wanted you to have made out with her.... for example.
My country (the US) has a seriously messed up dating culture. Christians need to rethink it. Dating should be to find a marriage partner. Since we don't line up partners years in advance, you should not really feel any need to rush to date until you are near an age where you might actually marry. If you were going to college, straight through, that might be 21 or 22, and it often takes people a few years after that to get set up.

I'm not allowed to date yet but if I could, going for a walk to the ice cream place and just sit around eating ice cream, of course the boy would need to buy I know I would like that but if you haven't ever dated like me just having a good friend to talk to is cool, I'm not Dr Phil so take it what it's worthbut wish you good luck.

That is a very good question. You need to be sure that your relationship is headed toward marriage. Before you get to that point, you need to know each other as friends. You will have to be able to withstand the problems that all married couples face. We live in an age of unrealistic expectations and romanticised views of marriage.
Physical affection is nice, but can easily lead to sex before you are married. That is not the unpardonable sin, but it is destructive to relationships. You will be entering into a lifelong commitment. You are not buying a car. No test drive required, no matter what the world tells you.
