Your view of how we are eternal beings in this temporal world speaks to me that you have renewed your mind to see as the Father sees, that is awesome. Many aren't there yet at this late date.
Not sure we will need to avoid the past dates if there will be no marriage there, the earthly temporal desires for relationship seem to be something that will pass away.
Our spirit and soul will have no need.
bless you friend

The last enemy to be destroyed is death. We should all live to see that day when God is all in all.

I know my friend. That statement was intended to be understood as a joke :giggle:

I think it depends on the situation and if there’s a connection there .

Age segregation in the structured school system makes adults think like children.
The system is designed for utter conformity within the box they were put in from preschool to post grad. There's a very narrow age segregation. Adult women restrict themselves by those grade/age conformity into their twenties to immature adult men who often never mature.

Throughout history the traditional families in normal circumstances home schooled and had interactions with brothers, sisters and parents. In towns there were often options for community one room schools older children taught younger and the school marm/master led each group. The Bible was the primary text book. Socialization was far more advanced. Age gaps were normal in adulthood.

Today the box of conformity to worldly philosophies removes so many possibilities for relationship/ marriage blessings. God's ways are the best.

I could easily see dating a woman 20 years younger in her 30s. But it really depends on the woman, and if she's mature, and has a heart for the Lord, a sense of humour and intelligence. A sparkle in her eyes is nice too, but I really look at the heart. And how a woman carries herself.

For an interesting study of a match made in Heaven, look at Isaac and Rebecca. God led Abraham's servant and her to be Isaac's wife.

It's probably because female demons are supposed to be seductive or something and the most carnal delight I have to offer is the oreo cream pie slices in the freezer.

Guess I'm just not quite evil enough.
Are they EVIL Oreo cream pie slices????

I’ve always been attracted to older women, but sadly have never dated.

"Of course the actual analysis is much more complex, but I can't stick around to discuss it right now because I have a date."

Edith, that's pretty much what I was thinking within reason of course. Forgot where I read it but a preacher said women are like parking spots, all the good ones are taken and the rest are handicapped :). Not sure about the handicapped part but so far, in my case, all the good ones are taken.

Maybe it’s just the good ones that enjoy being called ‘handicapped’ that are gone…

Dating with an age gap I would have no problem with but marriage might be problematic. I think they are two different things.

When you are dating you don't need to stick with someone born the same year as you. The poster who talked about school is right, it's very narrow but that's because children are still growing and developing, they haven't become adults yet. There are huge differences between babies, toddlers and girls and boys who are 5-16. But when adulthood comes at 17-18 and they leave school its understood they can make adult choices.

Why don't people understand this?
Marriage with huge age gaps only becomes problematic when it comes time to retire and old age kicks in I think. Some spouse tend to think if their other half is younger, they will take care of them in their old age, but I've known couples where the younger one died first and left the older one alone.
