Here's a serval patiently explaining his presence to a protective dog.

Whatever he said, the dog must have understood it. Eventually the dog sits down and the serval goes on his way.

Possums...

My aunt will swerve to try to hit one if she sees it on the road. She hates the little buggers.

Me, I don't care. I don't really LIKE them, but I don't have any reason to hate them either.
People only see tail, ears and think rodent. Rodents can be destructive. She needs educated. Every time she does that, she is ensuring that there will be hundreds or even thousands of mice, rats, and ticks in her neighborhood. She never hits those pests, but they might hit her with and others if she ever has problems. Let her know why she should welcome opossums. They don't stick around long unless there are good food sources like pests around. Then they move on to another location.

I'd never realized how cute bats are until I was able to get up close nose-to-nose look at a little brown one that I happened upon laying on top of a heap of trash in a dumpster. I looked like it had landed on the ledge, found a comfy spot to lay down, and died. At first, I thought it was just enjoying a peaceful nap.

Bats are indeed very cute. And they eat bugs. Anything that eats mosquitoes on-the-fly gets my vote.

It's an animal she doesn't like. I dunno... Do you squash spiders and swat wasps?

Personally I hate snakes and will hit one if I see it on the road. Then I'll back up and hit it again. I don't care if some are not venomous. If it's a snake, it's dead.

Isn't it amazing to see different kinds of animals at play?

I drove up my road one evening to see a young cat and juvenile opossum playing in the middle of the road. I just parked, put on my blinkers and enjoyed the show.

It will be much like this when the millennium begins according to the prophesy of Isaiah 11:4....
(BTW, if you hear anyone scared about the "Mandela Effect", please ask them if they ever even read the Bible from cover to cover. They keep misquoting this passage.)

"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea."
