That is hardly a reason for a Christian.Another factor is also cost, burials are more expensive.

It matters to God whether you follow pagan (heathen) practices or Christian practices. God's people are not to follow the ways of the heathen.I don't believe it matters how you are buried. You want be there anymore.
That is hardly a reason for a Christian.
If cremation is a sin. And the dead wanted a burial but the family didn't know or respect his wishes. Who's sin is that?It sure does matter to the family though.
The Eternal One makes no exception of persons, nor takes a bribe (Deut 10.17; 16.19; 1Chr 19.7; Act 10.34; Rom 2.11; Eph 6.9; Col 3.25).
By the way: we must never forget this:
- "But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons." (Col 3.25).
We must always keep in mind the way in which we want to be treated:
- "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets." (Mat 7.12).
Luke 9;60 - 62 And Jesus said to him, let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. 62 And Jesus said unto him, no man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.It matters to God whether you follow pagan (heathen) practices or Christian practices. What are you saying. Are you saying that there are two verses that say that it's a sin for believers to be cremated?Like I said....two sets of verses verbatim and in context that states that it is a mortal sin to be cremated after death for a believer....WE will all wait and wait and wait and wait....because there are none.....!
What are you saying. Are you saying that there are two verses that say that it's a sin for believers to be cremated?
There's your answer. Not "burn" their dead. but "bury" their dead.Luke 9;60 - 62 And Jesus said to him, let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. 62 And Jesus said unto him, no man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Yeah, well everyone can afford a small life insurance policy for funeral and burial expenses. Indeed it should be a given. So a totally lame excuse about affordability .It sure does matter to the family though.

.Not to spoil the fun, but a lot of people will bury the ashes. Cremation does not necessarily mean no burial.
lIFE INSURANCE COSTS PENNIES A DAY.The funeral biz is big biz. The average funeral (canada) is $15,000 and higher - that's a lot of money to some. I'd rather give it away to friends and family or charity.
Like meat sacrificed to idols, Christmas, and others..."let each be convinced in his own mind" (Romans 14:5)Go to the Bible and it will become a certainty.
And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. (Acts 8:2)
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death... (Rom 6:4)
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (1 Cor 15:42-44).
Just as seeds are sown into the ground, Christian bodies are "sown" into the ground, to be raised again at the Resurrection Rapture.
BEWARE: CREMATION IS A PAGAN PRACTICE.
