If cremation is a sin. And the dead wanted a burial but the family didn't know or respect his wishes. Who's sin is that?
My father requested cremation. I must admit the service of remembrance was much less painful than a funeral with a casket and body present.
Friends, family and personal items celebrating his life was quite refreshing and a lighter burden to endure. Open caskets and such are really burdensome times for me at a friend or family members funeral. Roman Catholic funerals are probably the worst. In most cases there is no testimony of salvation and no one seems to care. Too many folks make too much out of a lifeless body that is empty and destined to decay.

Like I said....two sets of verses verbatim and in context that states that it is a mortal sin to be cremated after death for a believer....WE will all wait and wait and wait and wait....because there are none.....!

Not hardly.....read slowly what I have said....there are no verses in context that states verbatim it is a sin to be cremated....NONE, NIL, ZERO NADA, etc....
I was asking for two sets in context and verbatim that states it is a sin and saying we will ALL WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT because the are NONE...
There's your answer. Not "burn" their dead. but "bury" their dead.
Yeah, well everyone can afford a small life insurance policy for funeral and burial expenses. Indeed it should be a given. So a totally lame excuse about affordability .

No ones, I very much doubt it’s a sin to cremate a body.
If a person is a Christian the earthy outer shell no longer has a purpose.
Personally I’m not too bothered whether it’s a cremation or burial for me when it’s
my turn. Funeral services are for the benefit of the living to mourn, grieve and say
goodbye. They don’t benefit the dead in any way.
5 people that I know of either directly or indirectly have died this year.
I’ve been to two funerals.
When they carry the coffin in and you see it, the reality of life, the total abruptness
of death and the need to meet the saviour in this life before you get to the next,
hits you in the stomach like a tonne of bricks. There is a finality when you see that
coffin.
This life is a life of dying and decay, the next eternal life is real life
for living. Somehow it matters not what happens to the decaying body, as
much as will you get to see them again in eternity.
The funeral biz is big biz. The average funeral (canada) is $15,000 and higher - that's a lot of money to some. I'd rather give it away to friends and family or charity.
Not to spoil the fun, but a lot of people will bury the ashes. Cremation does not necessarily mean no burial.

In which case I'll opt to do a Big Lebowski - and have my ashes scattered in the wind at just the right moment and have it get blown back in everybody's faces ! lol ....or shot from a cannon a la Hunter S. Thompson but with a slingshot...
I personally don’t agree with cremation.. there seems to be a big increase in cremations of late.. the cost being highlighted as an incentive..
I guess it is down to the individual.. I don’t afford my husband the choice.. respect his wishes and all that.. lol! I feel too strongly against it.. It will depend whom departs first, lol.
