It's a time in school for small kids to show off their prized possessions and tell why they are wonderful.

Show n tell is when you bring something really cool to school to show the other kids.
In junior high, he was able to take in one of his critters (I don't remember which one, but I think it was either the caiman or black snake. The box was big) for his science class.
I remember, because Mom called for a taxi to take us -- my first taxi ride -- and the driver was late, so we were both late for school that day. (My first normal taxi ride too, apparently. lol)

15 years ago.....plus 4 or 5...folks would be from 18-21...might get more responses from the young adults.
My kids still have show and tell on special days...my daughter had a project this year to bring 3 things in a paper bag that represent things about her...she is in 3rd grade.
She brought her bible because she loves God
A rock I have her from the Dominican republic trip because our family likes to travel
Forgot her 3rd thing but it was because she liked art or music.
Some of the preschool kids bring in rocks that look cool and they make up stories about leaves they collect, etc.
Anything and everything that they think is cool.
Some of the parents of the kids might be able to tell you stories.
