10. Browsing through the various forums there is one having to do with conspiracies. It appears
the last entries were around 2013. Am I just reading this wrong or is the forum no longer active?
The first page of the conspiracies' forum only goes back to August
of this year. It's an active forum (last posted in 20 minutes ago).

Ninety pages later, yes, it goes back as far as 2013.

Introductory thread goes back to June 27, 2009.

Bible Discussion goes back to December 21, 2008.

How do I locate Oncefallen's profile page?
Type his name in the search using the little magnifying glass... then click his avatar to navigate to profile.

You can also mention anyone in a post by putting a @ before their user name, but since
Once did not mention that, it may be less effective than posting on his profile page...

@beaglehound gives a notification .:)

Of course if the person gets a lot of notifications, it could be overlooked.

Just as quotes may get overlooked...

I signed up a few days ago and could use a little help. I have some questions I'm hoping can be answered.

1. Is there a help desk available? No
2. Can I edit my post once posted? If so, how? There's a 5 minute time limit. An edit button will appear during that duration.
3. If I wish to message someone privately do I have to purchase a subscription? Yes
4. When replying to someone's comment my comment doesn't show up sometimes. Why? Make sure your cursor is at the very end of the post you're typing.
5. When reading someone's response the other user's comments will be in a light blue rectangular box. How do I exclude everything except the paragraph I want to reply to? Click reply to the post you want. From there you can edit the post you're replying to, for instance removing parts you don't want.
6. Is there a page I can go to that has only my posts? Yes. It's under your profile.
7. Is there a way of immediately going to the last post of a thread without having to scroll and scroll through all of the posts? If you find the thread on the main page it will do this, otherwise no. So most of the time no. But you can skip to the last page after opening a thread.
8. Is there a page listing the mods and administrator? Nope
9. If I want to contact a mod do I have to be a paid member? To contact OnceFallen, as he stated, put an @ sign in front of his name in a thread. No space. But I'd use it sparingly.
If i need help with the technical aspects of the site how do I get it?
There is a User2User Tech forum for help. How much help depends on user knowledge.
10. Browsing through the various forums there is one having to do with conspiracies. It appears the last entries were around 2013. Am I just reading this wrong or is the forum no longer active? All forums are active. Ideally you'll want to open the main subforum page (for example click on the Conspiracies subforum) and stay on the front page to avoid bringing up old threads.
11. If one wishes to unsubscribe to Christian Chat how does one cancel their membership? Contact OnceFallen.
12. Is there a code of conduct page available? None I'm aware of, but it's mostly common sense. Pushing unChristian views, for example, will get you banned. But discussing them is not.
Thanks for the help.

Find his name on this page, from his post, and click on it. You'll see his name appear again underneath. Click on that one next.
Perhaps save it for future use.

4. When replying to someone's comment my comment doesn't show up sometimes. Why?
If the HTML coding for the quote is messed with/erased in any way, your response is "swallowed
up" in the quote box and will not appear unless what you have quoted is extremely short, because
it will be at the bottom of everything else the other person had to say which you quoted.

You may see some form of this happening, and being repeated as people continue to quote posts
that have had the formatting messed with. It may even look like someone said something they did
not actually say. This can all very easily be remedied by making sure the HTML is intact, and if it is
not intact, by fixing it, which is a lot easier than many seem to understand. It is often simply a
matter of one of the quote tags, usually the last one, having been erased. They look like this~

Opening tag [quote...

Closing tag ] which is after [/quote

I changed the font to make it more obvious, but the quote tags must be in the same style as the command.

That means that part of it cannot be bolded, or in a different font face, or anything like that.

If someone tries to quote a "swallowed up" post, nothing will show up.

In that case, copy what the person you are quoting has said, place it between the quote tags, and carry on.

The sidebar shows the most recent posts of active threads, but even if you click that expecting to be taken to the last post, you will be taken to the last page you were on in that thread (as far as I have been able to determine). On a long thread this means you could be many many pages behind, but navigating to the last page is made easier by the page number links at the top & bottom left hand side of each thread.

It looks like everything has pretty much been answered magenta.
To you and everyone else who helped me out I extend a big thank you for making the effort and taking the time to help me. I must admit, I was quite confused on how things worked. All I need to do now is work through some of it. It should get easier as I become more familiar. I'll see how things go. My one frustration is not having the freedom to inbox privately other members, as I don't have a paid subscription. I'm not used to that.

You may not be able to initiate PMs, but you are not prevented from participating in them. Another perk of financial support is you can choose to change the status under your user name. Yours now says new member but that will change as your post count increases. Members active since before the platform change in 2018 are grandfathered in for PMs.

You Are Welcome! God Bless You

My understanding is that I can participate in a pm provided it is initiated by one who has a paid subscription. I guess that means if I wanted to discuss something in private I would ask the person publicly to pm me assuming person is a paid subscriber. How would I know unless I asked the person publicly if he/she is a paid subscriber?
You mentioned, "grandfathered in". Hmmmm. Hey, I'm a grandpa! To you think administration would go for it? Just kidding. 😁

I mentioned changing user status and age of account as hints as to who can PM.

Otherwise, you would have to ask newer members if they have the ability to PM .:)

The exact date of the platform change was May 28th, 2018.

So any active member on site before then can PM for sure.

One time someone who had been here before but had a newer account had questions they
wanted to ask another privately, so I offered to set up a PM for them and then depart it.

That page is horrifically out of date.

Some of the staff listed there haven't logged in for several years, some of the staff listed are specific to the chat app.

Ultimately, as I posted above, I'm the guy to contact 99% of the time.
Can I ask if/why my latest post, "Not Under Law", was not published? I know it makes some big claims, and maybe that is why, but, though they may be "edgy", I don't think they're unjustifiable.

@Oncefallen I don't know how your system works, but, even if you have rejected the post for publishing, would you have the option of sending the text of "Not Under Law" to me, since I spent time on it? If not, I'll understand. Thanks.

Not sure when you made this post but give him some time.
