Merciful and Almighty Father, I ask humbly in your Name to act on behalf of anyone who feels isolated or hopeless this Holiday season. Blot out their iniquities, for you have made my stained garment white like whole grain again. I allowed the clothes I am to wear to the Wedding Feast to be sullied by sweat and dust, so that even as I commit myself to be washed, I grow faint and hide my face from You. Forgive my rebellion, but blot out their iniquities so that their robes are made white as snow where a crimson stripe tears away from garments made for a higher calling. My clothing does not need to be mended, thank Heaven, but theirs shows where new red cloth pulls the seam apart from very precious white robes. Do not make me think less of being an old wineskin, for I do not casually drink old wine from Your presence. New wine cheats thirst better, but old wine is fragrant and intoxicating to the scent. So that those who feast in and around your Presence may be encouraged to eat, drink, and be merry; I want to abstain from celebration of the calendar today and simply rest. Coffee and bread will be my portion tonight: may those greater than I be made right in uniform presence, and chosen to share the Passover Lamb who was Slain by properly ordered tones of voice, for we are Your sheep and those who are chosen know the sound of Your Voice.
