"The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender." Proverbs 22:7

"Young men starting in life should avoid running into debt. There is scarcely anything that drags a person down like debt." P. T. Barnum

"I'm the king of debt." Donald Trump

Donald Trump Built a National Debt So Big (Even Before the Pandemic) That It’ll Weigh Down the Economy for Years — ProPublica
The US has a debt of over $35 trillion so it makes sense that Americans elected someone who knows what to do about it. Nice to see you are not being petty about the outcome of the election.

In the video (in my previous post), Trump says you just "negotiate the debt." By negotiate the debt, I think he means file chapter 11 bankruptcy, which he's done six times. I've seen him in interviews in the past where he brags about taking advantage of the laws to file bankruptcy and wipe out his debt. Yep, sounds like sound a sound financial strategy to me.

You are probably the only person who would interpret "you negotiate the debt" to mean you file for bankruptcy. I and most likely everyone else familiar with the financial operations of global finance would understand that simply to be a reference to negotiating the terms of paying back the debt. This has been done a thousand times over by nations, states and corporations without filing for bankruptcy.

As long as our creditors are willing to work with you there is no reason or advantage to filing for bankruptcy. I suspect the majority of the major economic powers on earth are willing to work with the US at this time.

The US companies importing the product pays the tariff not the manufacturer. What incentives would the company's making the products have to move manufacturing to America? American manufacturing would cost more money and the product would sell for the same price to the importers. It makes no economic sense.

This is why even Republican economists are warning that the prices are going to go up and Trump himself is now backpedaling and unable to promise that the prices won't go up.
Well looks like they'll have to find a bigger and more stable market than America then, which I really doubt that they will considering that they don't even sell the same products for the same price in other countries. So they can get equalized real quick or they can end their little system of neocolonialism which is really even on a moral level very dubious and move operations to America and in the long run stay in business, whatever they think is more prudent. They need the US more than we really need them. Then you have the additional benefit of when dictatorships and corrupt governments the world over lose their ability to make money by exporting to the USA what will start happening to them internally.

Tariffs are causing white knuckle panic in Mexico and Canada.
Massive unemployment, tax receipts in the toilet, exploding debt and "internal unrest" would be the result.

This is a question for any and all Trump/MAGA supporters. Is there any line he could cross that would cause you to stop supporting him? In other words, is your support for him unconditional? I'm just wondering if you've made up your mind to support him no matter what.
I never have supported him: if he follows Christ's commands in the Sermon on the Mount, then I would support him. Thus my loyalty is to Jesus. I respect whoever is president and pray for him and for the country.

Actually you are the only one who says that.

What they do say is they repeat the Satanists claim that Abortion is a human sacrifice to their God and thus the Federal government cannot make any laws for or against. So they remind anyone voting pro abortion and pro killing human fetuses is in agreement with the Satanists and their desire for human sacrifice. Interestingly even the Satanists who are rabidly pro abortion disagree with the Pro Choice crowd who want to claim that the fetus is not a human being. They openly admit that abortion is human sacrifice to Satan.

As for President elect Trump they do not agree with being disrespectful to the rulers but rather to pray for them.

Everyone I have ever talked to that voted for Trump agrees that he has done wrong. So I have yet to find anyone who voted for him claiming he can do no wrong.

As usual you will find that Dude needs to be thoroughly fact checked. He is notorious on this forum for misquoting people and generally being deceitful in describing anyone who disagrees with him.

Yeah, because everyone who didn't vote for Trump is a member of the satanic temple. That's totally a reasonable take.

You ever notice the irony that the guy whose tagline is "We're all Negan" thinks we're in a cult? Then you got the guy with the Taxi Driver avatar like some common neurotic whiteboy from the country whose leader dressed up in blackface and sang the Banana Boat song and has reigned almost as long as Hitler thinks we're the ones that are being led by nazis? Then you got the guy that wants to convince us that we're not Christians for wanting to get rid of the democrats for all the ruination that they brought and that we should be like him and listen to a literal sadducee that has published outright blasphemies against Jesus and the apostles. Like I can't even be offended, they're so blind that it's comical.

You know the only one out of the small group of Trump haters that had any degree of respectability is seed_harvest, he's the only one that admitted to eating some crow, he's the only one that was brave enough to show face on election night. I think he only disliked Trump cause the lies of the others made him afraid, but he really had a good heart and wanted unity I remember him saying before the election took place. I don't really get why he was afraid, he looked like he was a strong Chad, he should not be afraid or heed the lies of the left that cause him to fear, we would be glad to have a strong Chad for a brother like seed_harvest.

Just as reasonable as saying everyone who did vote for him was MAGA insurrectionist.

I said everyone who entered that building should have been charged with sedition.
I still maintain maga is a cult
And I maintain that there are less than 80 people who would qualify as this cult you speak of and yet you talk as though it refers to everyone who voted for Trump.

It's a cult for the raisins I already mentioned.

During the end of the Clinton years I remember Republicans throwing an absolute fit because of his affair with Monica Lewinsky. The voices in the church at the time made it very clear that because of his poor character, he should no longer be president.

I may disagree with you on many things, but I know you're not dumb and I know you know that If a group of people disqualifies a leader for something but does not disqualify another leader for that same something there's something cultish going on.

When we see intelligent people like you fall for such a faulty logical fallacy it lends even more Credence to the idea that you're in a cult.
