It depends on the breed. I have some french cat that attaches to one person and friendly with others and this is true to my cat; she doesn't know I am not here for her to be carried or to rest on. Then I have a male silver tabby who likes to lay dead mice, from the field, at my door. He hates to petted or healed, but likes to lick me when he feels like it....
I agree! If you destroy cats you destroy humanity. Without good examples set by cats our society is doomed to self-destruction.

My dog's view on cats has influenced me on this. They are not to be trusted.

I will concede the fact that Some cats are probably not worth having. Lol (same as dogs!) But my cat is adorable. She chases marbles on the linoleum- and not only that but she picks it up in her mouth and brings it back to you! ...she also likes mini marshmallows.

I am a dog person and have had large dogs during childhood/teenage years. I have encountered a few cats and they scare me (even kittens), so I have not bonded with cats. I never know when they are going to growl/scratch me. Their nails are also very sharp.
My Cats don't set good examples unless they include bringing in dead mice and hanging around on the roof at midnight
That said I wouldn't be without them both.

There is a reason why cats were put on this planet.....my dogs and I are still looking for that reason.
PS. Cats can be sweet....I will not let my dogs read this PS: I don't want them to disown me! lol
