Certified nut job! Haha but I jest... and I am sure your wife is lovely despite her caffeine deficiency .;):D.
Actually @Suze I drank decaf for quite some time also, because I had tried to quit the caffeinated stuff,
but all my friends were 12 step addicts, and you know what those 12 steps addicts are like? After a
meeting they like to go out for coffee! .:eek::LOL:

I have observed that most people who like black coffee prefer milk chocolate, and most people who like cream and sugar in coffee prefer dark chocolate. Make of that what you will. Me, I like dark chocolate and don't care much for coffee any way you fix it.

My uncle Fred likes coffee strong enough to challenge you to arm wrestle. He's maintenance for a factory, and he keeps a pot of coffee in the maintenance area, so people will come through and pour a cup, then complain bitterly about how strong it is. "Well... It's just coffee and water. I made it for me, not for you. You're welcome to have a cup, but if it's too strong just ADD WATER."

I got a strawberry shake on the way to work today. It was so thick that I could hardly draw it up through the straw, so my cup was still more than half full by the time I got to work. I don't know if I triggered a coffee run or it was just the plan as usual, but chef came in shortly with a can of iced coffee and I thought to fill a glass and pour it over ice to make it even icier (it was humid this afternoon and the kitchen was operating at full capacity). Then, I realized that I had just enough to fill my milkshake back up to the brim, and then I threw in a strawberry for garnish. I can't imagine I'm the first to think of this. Would this qualify as a strawberry affogato?

that actually sounds worh trying.

so once i made these cofee cookies that were like a quarter cup of cofee. dry. plus hot water. they were so bad. they had bits of coffee bean andwer so highcaffiene tht they got banned from class.

Coffee ground cookies do sound bad! Aack! :LOL: (even though that actually sounds good in theory)

I have tried a suggestion to add instant coffee to chocolate cake mix to make it taste even chocolatier though. But it was just a tablespoon though, not a quarter cup! Oh, my gasp! :ROFL:

i know. it was like grity caffeine discs. yhum.! i do think that a couple tbsps of cofe per 12 oz of coaco makes it taste muche beter

It's never occurred to me before, that may be exactly what is missing in cocoa!
 
It has already been done. Coffee + chocolate = mocha.

Sometimes when I have had only four hours of sleep or something, I'll go by a local place where they have hand-scooped ice cream and order a large mocha shake. That's a scoop of chocolate ice cream in a large cup, and then fill the cup with coffee. Ice cream cools the coffee, coffee melts the ice cream and I'm left with a mocha frappe. Or something like that... But it tastes good and it has the caffeine I need.

this is phunnneee! why? something so simple but yet, highly effective! earlier in the week, i was thinking of initiating a simple thread on life! my wife & i just enjoyed our Saturday bacon-waffle breakfast with old time country music playing. she drinks a Tim Horton decaffeinated coffee with butter, an lmnt elctrolyte of caramel or chocolate & cream.. i enjoy the Jamaican Blue Mountain Wallenford coffee. back about 7 years ago, suddenly on a vagary, i thought to take on a new drink as i was tired of always drinking milk, water & juice. so i chose coffee. the 1st 1 i tried was Hawaiin Gold Kona then JBM.

I see you are a member of one of those chocolate churches that draws divisions between different kinds of mocha.

I belong to a much more open chocolate church. We believe all roads lead to mocha. It matters not how much coffee and how much chocolate you use. We are all still gloriously caffeinated.
