I rarely get involved in this kind of debate, but I will this time. Someone has decided to tell us all we should do something. Fine. What exactly. The average person has zero control over government policy. The climate change hysteria has caused billions of people to suffer unnecessary loss of standard of living while doing nothing to resolve the supposed issue.

I believe climate change is real enough. However, it has always been changing. We've had a heatwave here in Australia. Wow. One town had its highest temperature since 1972. You mean it got hot over 50 years ago? Yes, it did. Australia has been described as the sunburnt country, a land of drought and floods. That was written in 1904.

Brethren, when the world is shouting at you, when celebrities famous for pretending to be something they are not, and autistic teenagers rant and rave and say "Just stop it", take a chill pill and ask God about it. Most of Al Gore's (remember him?) disaster scenarios have not happened. What has been a disaster is the price that ordinary people have had to pay for this alarmism. I like this quote from Sky News:

"It’s the entire ecosystem of bone-idle campaigners, NGOs, politicians, and a parade of wealthy celebrities who could always be relied upon to back the next big moral cause, because they would never be the ones choosing between heating and eating."

"The earth is the Lord's" Psalm 24:1. We should not abuse it, but neither do we need to panic and turn into cave dwelling, bug eating greenies. I will not be dictated to by people who have never had a real job and by politicians who know nothing about the real world where I live. I will have to pay the price of their ignorance. That's imposed on me, like it or not.

Germany is a wonderful example. They closed all their nuclear power stations because Helmut the hysterical clamoured for it. Eventually, they were forced to increase the use of coal fired power stations, which are not as clean as nuclear. You can't make this up!

God is in control. The earth has a "use by date" that He knows. When Jesus returns to claim His Kingdom on earth, it will be restored to the best state it has ever been. As Hezekiah 3:6 says, "Panic not. God is in controlleth." And Jesus said, "Don't worry about tomorrow. You have enough to deal with today".

theres much more wrong in this world that people could be addressing than worrying about climate change.the money governments spend especially on climate change could be better spent,on the people who put them in office.it gets hot it gets cold,it always has done.

The nations throw away trillions of taxpayer's dollars on worthless pursuits that make the political class feel good but achieve nothing. Why should they care? It's not their money that they waste.

thats right Gideon they go back to a warm house while others struggle to pay their energy bills all for the cause of climate change.that money could house people.the list goes on.their scared of their own shadows.theres no courage in them.

Time to go fill up my gas tank and spend hours smoking some ribs, without worrying about the climate, because unless I'm personally cloud seeding, my activities are really nothing with regards to changing climate. If we're seeing more weather related natural disasters, I would chalk that up to the world increasingly abandoning God, and to the likelihood that we're closing in on the end of this era and God is trying to get your attention before it is too late for you.

Climates change. When I was in high school the fear was global cooling.
That didn't get nearly as much traction, so they had to reverse it.

I think it's because we as a society have way too much free time. Peasants on the Scotland highlands in the 1500s didn't go around looking for stuff to worry about. They didn't have time. They had to get busy if they were going to keep warm and cook their neeps and tatties. But we don't have to work nearly as hard to survive, so we have a lot more time.

Which is why conspiracy theories are currently so popular. Also flat-earth. And global (wherever we think the temperature is headed right now.) We got more time to sit around and imagine stuff, so we look for things to worry about.

These ideas are known as First World Problems. Happens when you have too much free time on your hands due to a higher standard of living.
