Funny how some seem to assume that carrying a firearm in public is normal. It ain't necessarily so. In most countries, you can't do that legally.

Even the local police officers don't carry when they are off duty. Fortunately, we do have several in our congregation, and I'm sure they would have their on-duty colleagues on scene in short order should we need them.

As for general security, we have locks. We have people at the unlocked doors. We have a God Who is bigger than misguided criminals bent on destruction.

I'd say nope he did not. In fact, he rebuked Peter telling him to put his sword away (John 18: 11) Our Lord had a very, very, very horrible cup to drink for us, didn't he? Takes my breath away and fills my eyes with tears...

It's a sad and heartbreaking reality that we have to have a security plan and be ready to defend women, children and the elderly in The House of God- but a Greater Reality for the enemy of our souls-- his hour is COMING when he will be REMOVED PERMENTLY from Earth!!! We are Waiting for IT! (Revelation 20:10) Come Lord Jesus!
Hmm... That's the same Jesus who said okay now you're going to need a sword. Like, if you don't have one you should do anything you have to do in order to get one, even if it means selling off your coat to get it. I think it was somewhere in the 22nd chapter of Luke.
