I know I shouldn’t have done this, but I am 83 years old and I was in the McDonald’s drive-through this morning and the young lady behind me leaned on her horn ...and started mouthing something because I was taking too long to place my order. So when I got to the first window I paid for her order along with my own. The cashier must have told her what I'd done, because as we moved up she leaned out her window and waved to me and mouthed "Thank you.", obviously embarrassed that I had repaid her rudeness with kindness. When I got to the second window I showed them both receipts and took her food too. Now she has to go back to the end of the queue and start all over again,
Don't blow your horn at old people, they have been around a long time
I was thinking about this the other day while in McD's drive thru.......
the way they have the lanes now, 2 merging into 1 and it was my turn, the young girl from the next lane was pitching a fit when I pulled up (I was already turned and far enough into the lane merge BEFORE she finished her order, that actually if she DID try to go before me it would've caused an accident)
Anyway, for whatever reason she was pitching a fit, making faces and all.
My mind went back to this story and YES I seriously considered doing it.......
BUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTT since my kids were with me I had to consider if I REALLY wanted then to learn that lesson......
especially since they would've questioned if it was a wise way to use the money (a lesson we've really been working hard to instill in them, and they even catch me once in a while and ask "is that a wise choice to spend your money on mom?)
Would've been fun though
