Hopefully on the next few days i will catch up with one or two of these movies. It's nice to have a list on one thread where i can go through and check out movies i haven't seen.

I just finished watching David and the Elves, a Polish production. I found it amusing.

A jaded, overworked elf runs off to the real world where he tries to experience
the magic of Christmas with the help of a newly befriended young boy.

I have just started watching Get Santa. So far it is hilarious .:D

It is from 2014. After Santa Claus is arrested and jailed, a recently paroled
prisoner and his young son attempt to save Christmas before it's too late.

Probably watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” again. I have watched it over 20 times and I don’t think I will ever tire of it.

Hello sweet Rosemarry. I have Netflix so that is where I watch from. I give a link to
internet movie database so people can see the rating, storyline/plot, cast and crew etc,

My wife and I have watched several Hallmark Christmas movies. My wife especially likes the Hallmark Christmas movies that star with Andrew Walker or Lacey Chabert. :)

So many people have to save Christmas before it's too late. Usually they save it just at the last minute.

The law of averages says that one time they would drop the ball. Then Christmas would be lost forever. But no, it's ALWAYS saved. Hundreds, thousands of times every year, people on the TV save Christmas ovoer and over and over.

It's quite improbable.

It's still not Christmas yet....

Until Hans Gruber falls from Nakatomi Tower. Yippee kiy yeah!

But I like smiling....smiling is my favorite. (Elf)

You are not Santa....Santa smells like cookies and you smell like beef and cheese....you sit on a throne of lies.

Same here, we watch hallmark movies too when we're doing stuff in the kitchen or drinking coffee when time allows between other things we have to do.

Yesterday afternoon I watched a Harlequin Romance one called Christmas With A View. It was sweet; Patrick Duffy was in it. I just got off the phone with my daughter and was telling her what a nice change it is to see a couple get together and when they kiss, they are not devouring each other, slamming each other up against a wall while tearing each other's clothes off, and then immediately jumping into bed. And as I mentioned before, no profanity! I will see if I can find any on Netflix with Andrew Walker or Lacey Chabert. I have 20 some-odd minutes left of Get Santa (rated G). @Lynx, saving Christmas is a worthy endeavour .:D

Santa singing in Jail was excellently done.
Kurt Russell makes for an excellent Santa .(y):giggle:

Did you ever see 3,000 Miles To Graceland? imdb says Russell is one of the few famous child
stars in Hollywood who has been able to continue his acting career past his teen years. His
early 90s film
Stargate, is one of my faves, and many love Tombstone. I also really really liked
Vanilla Sky... seen that and Stargate quite a few times. They are among my sci-fi faves for sure.

Tombstone makes my top 5 best movies.

I have seen Stargate and Vanilla Sky. Both are awesome movies, but Vanilla Sky also has a lot of philosophical implications which i enjoyed. I have seen Vanilla Sky several times.

Off topic for Christmas movies, but Stargate and Vanilla Sky are both right up my alley, so to speak
haha whatever that means LOL! I also really liked Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind but it did
not hold up to as many repeated viewings as those other two did. Being John Malkovitch, did, though.

Whoa, that one was up my alley too
.

I am currently watching (1/2 way through) another Harlequin one (Christmas Wedding
Planner) but it is barely tolerable and I am about to jettison it for something else....

Have you watched the ones I posted, all entertaining. A Christmas Visitor, is lovely, and Finding John Christmas, Finding Christmas and Trading Christmas are just holiday fun. The last two, people swap homes to get away from different problems and guess what they find? 😍💕

Haha I imagine they find the same problems! I am on a different device right now and navigating with a little difficulty...
if those movies are not on Netflix I cannot watch them unless they are available for free somewhere else?

I am currently watching Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey and enjoying it
despite the cast sporadically breaking out in song and dance. It stars

Forest Whitaker, Keegan-Michael Key, and Hugh Bonneville, among others.
Some might remember Hugh from Downton Abbey. Story-line: An imaginary
world comes to life in a holiday tale of an eccentric toymaker, his adventurous
granddaughter, and a magical invention that has the power to change their lives forever.
