The US has not been back to the moon because of the lack of public interest. Before this current decade is over there will be more manned moon landings. The technology of the 60's is archaic. A single smart phone has more computing power then NASA had to send a manned spacecraft to the moon and return it safely. The technology is not lost, just out of date and not cost effective.

The Catholic religion does not teach a literal 6-day creation. I attended a Catholic school for eight years. I know what they teach. I also did extensive research as an adult.

There is a ton of public interest. That statement is just a lie because they cannot "go back" because they were never there in the first place. It is impossible to pass through the Van Allen radiation belt without being incinerated. Buzz Aldrin even admitted we never went there.

Well, that was what I was taught. Obviously, you were taught something else. I don't question your extensive research but only offering my own personal observation and experience in regards to the Catholic Church. As I have said, I no longer attend mass due to certain doctrine and practices in regards to scripture. I also don't believe that any denomination is perfect in regards to their own particular doctrine and practices. Still, the bible says that we should not forsake the assembling together. Again, that is where discernment comes into practice.
Personal observation and experience does not offer the truth of what the religion is. You need to research.
Discernment comes from the Holy Spirit. It does not come from hanging out with others.

Well, Elon Musk hasn't lost it and his company is capable right now of going back to the moon and in a few years Mars. I don't believe that there is public interest otherwise there would be network coverage of all launches, particularly manned launches.

The thing is I have extensive study of over 50 years of scripture and know that there is no scripture that states that the earth is flat. You are most correct about the Holy Spirit and discernment. Even so, I do not claim to be a bible scholar only that am confident there is no scripture that explicitly states the shape of the earth besides being circular in shape. That description is not conclusive of neither a flat earth or a round one for that matter.
There are ample Scriptures that make it quite obvious the earth is flat, immovable and covered by a firmament and that the Lord sits above it.

The Lord does sit above it and looking down on His creation it appears circular in shape. Of course it is covered by a firmament, that is called the atmosphere, the stratosphere, the ionosphere. Of course, those are termed coined by man to describe elements of the firmament.
No, it's a firmament that is comprised of water. The Lord sits above the earth regardless of what "shape" it is. Above it. There is only one "above" and that is UP. Look up, He's right there.

You say flat, I say round. Some say potato some say clamato. Either way, I don't see this as a salvation issue or even guidance on how to humbly serve the Lord. I have never been in space so I can not truthfully say with 100% confidence in regards to the shape of the earth only that there is lack of scripture to provide explicit proof of the definitive shape of the earth, whether if be flat or round.
God says it sits on pillars, immovable. I don't say that, the One who created it does.

I was referring to the descriptive terms of atmosphere, stratosphere, and ionosphere. Yes, there is water in the firmament otherwise there would be no clouds or rain. Up and down are relative terms depending on orientation and point of origin. The rising and setting of the sun as stated in the bible is a relative term as the sun neither rises nor sets but appears to do so because of the rotation of the earth. It is a descriptive term stated in a way that is easily grasped by the reader.
