This is so easy and so yummy
1 can of chicken
2 granny smith apples chopped
3 stalks celery chopped
1 cup mayo any kind you like

mix chicken,apples, celery and mayo
Enjoy

Thanks Tabitha,

I have a similar salad, but with walnut in it. It's a Waldorf Salad.

But I use boiled chicken breasts. The canned would be easier though. I like a little sweeter apple so I use Gala or Johnathan apples. :)

Thanks for another delicious recipe!

That sounds great, I will try It, thank you:D

Hi Tourist,

I've also seen some recipes that will add some red grapes into the salad as well. I did it once, but thought it was too much. Maybe taking one apple out would work if one was wanting to add
grapes.

sounds great and very similar to something we eat on a regular basis,
but no canned, just green chicken and no mayo, we make our own
dressings from natural stuff...and yes DR, grapes and walnuts
and also watermelon when in season...

grapes! i've always done chicken, celery, onion and grapes.

thank you, Tabitha, i will try apples. don't know why i didn't think of it before. :o

City chick question: what is a green chicken?

Recipe also works for canned tuna, (if you're not like me and don't like canned tuna.)

Lynn,

'GREEN' usually means no added hormones or preservatives, as healthy as one can get...
(and yes, we know how mis-leading labels can be)...
with regular chicken, it's pumped-up with who knows what, + lots of fats + we have read a lot
how the processed chicken when in the rinsing process, often they have found the water
contains it's own feces...

Have you ever hard-boiled an egg, and the white turned green? I was kind of picturing the hen that could have created that egg. lol

no LYnn, never -

we've raised chicken for years and never had a green egg that I can recall! but -
we do love hard-boiled eggs in our salads, free-range and no hormones or antibotics -

many years ago I learned that when making a 'meat-loaf', out of whatever meat is
preferred, that putting a couple of HB eggs in the middle kind of gives it a little personality...:)
kind of gives it a nice, different variety...
