I've noticed it's mostly people in power that are pushing the "How dare you say or feel something besides what I expect you to" narrative. I think they're scared of being next. I expect this from the left; but the hypocrisy of the republicans is nauseating. Getting people fired is just going to make people angry, and in some cases give them a legitimate grievance; because while some of the reactions to his death were vile, they weren't necessarily approving of murder or calling for more violence.

Yep. But it's not just those "in power."

I know, right? The UK is one of my favorite places on earth but having watched the slide for years into an absolute 1984 nightmare, it's left me gutted for the citizens. Granted, they voted this in, but I'm praying with every fiber that God will pull them back from the brink.

Something truly eye opening is the child rape allowed to take place in Rotherham and elsewhere for years -

"A story of rampant child abuse—ignored and abetted by the police—is emerging out of the British town of Rotherham. Until now, its scale and scope would have been inconceivable in a civilized country. Its origins, however, lie in something quite ordinary: what one Labour MP called "not wanting to rock the multicultural community boat..

...The girl, who is lonely and uncared for, meets a man outside the home, who promises a trip to the cinema and a party with children of her age. She falls into the trap. After she has been raped by a group of five men she is told that, if she says a word to anyone, she will be taken from the home and beaten...

Impossible, you will say, that such a thing could happen in Britain. In fact it is only one of over 1,400 cases, all arising during the course of the last fifteen years in the South Yorkshire town of Rotherham, all involving vulnerable girls either in Council care or inadequately protected by their families from gangs of sexual predators." link.

But at least there's no guns.

I think yesterday's 3+ million** march for freedom of speech and against illegal migration [which their government facilitates] was a huge moment for them. Seems like they are finally fed up, which they desperately need to be if they want to save their country.

** UK MSM reported "thousands showed up for the far right march" when in fact it was 3+ million, and it's not far right. It's every day people sick and tired of government tyranny.
Wow! I learned another ridiculous fact about UK! lol..

People will always find a way to kill somebody. I wonder if someone killed somebody with a cricket bat if they would ban cricket? 🤔
They should, think how many have died from boredom watching that game.

Been reading an article in the New York Times about his beliefs and he was very pro gun . He actually said that the way to reduce gun crime was to : put guns into the hands of more Americans and that the sad abuses of gun ownership were worth the price so that we can enjoy our God given right of the second amendment.

Here's the full context -

"Yeah, it's a great question. Thank you. So, I'm a big Second Amendment fan but I think most politicians are cowards when it comes to defending why we have a Second Amendment. This is why I would not be a good politician, or maybe I would, I don't know, because I actually speak my mind.

The Second Amendment is not about hunting. I love hunting. The Second Amendment is not even about personal defense. That is important. The Second Amendment is there, God forbid, so that you can defend yourself against a tyrannical government. And if that talk scares you — "wow, that's radical, Charlie, I don't know about that" — well then, you have not really read any of the literature of our Founding Fathers. Number two, you've not read any 20th-century history. You're just living in Narnia. By the way, if you're actually living in Narnia, you would be wiser than wherever you're living, because C.S. Lewis was really smart. So I don't know what alternative universe you're living in. You just don't want to face reality that governments tend to get tyrannical and that if people need an ability to protect themselves and their communities and their families.

Now, we must also be real. We must be honest with the population. Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty. Driving comes with a price. 50,000, 50,000, 50,000 people die on the road every year. That's a price. You get rid of driving, you'd have 50,000 less auto fatalities. But we have decided that the benefit of driving — speed, accessibility, mobility, having products, services — is worth the cost of 50,000 people dying on the road.

So we need to be very clear that you're not going to get gun deaths to zero. It will not happen. You could significantly reduce them through having more fathers in the home, by having more armed guards in front of schools. We should have a honest and clear reductionist view of gun violence, but we should not have a utopian one.

You will never live in a society when you have an armed citizenry and you won't have a single gun death. That is nonsense. It's drivel. But I am, I, I — I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational. Nobody talks like this. They live in a complete alternate universe.

So then, how do you reduce? Very simple. People say, oh, Charlie, how do you stop school shootings? I don't know. How did we stop shootings at baseball games? Because we have armed guards outside of baseball games. That's why. How did we stop all the shootings at airports? We have armed guards outside of airports. How do we stop all the shootings at banks? We have armed guards outside of banks. How did we stop all the shootings at gun shows? Notice there's not a lot of mass shootings at gun shows, there's all these guns. Because everyone's armed.

If our money and our sporting events and our airplanes have armed guards, why don't our children?"

You may still disagree with him, but he's speaking facts.

Yep. But it's not just those "in power."
From corporate standpoint or especially as a small business, It seems fitting to have the right to fire anyone who you genuinely tarnishes your "brand" .. Social media is irritating. I think it's dumb how people will record themselves having a hissy fit and shoot it out to the world.

Apparently a rich guy called Brian Kilmeade literally just suggested "involuntary lethal injection" for homeless people on FOX news.... Which IMO, does kinda actually cross a free speech line; but it's not like somebody can fire him, and I doubt we will see republicans call for him to be stripped of his wealth.

the comment should of course not even been said considering many homeless people on drugs choose not to use programs offered to help them get sober so already basically voluntarily give themselves slow "lethal injecting" drugs.

They already did that with baseball bats years ago. I remember when the news reported that you had to show PROOF that you were in a baseball team and had official need of the deadly baseball bat.
It was to prevent 🦇 bat crimes.
🤔
As long as the UK makes a law, all of the law breakers will doubtless comply.
The law abiding in the UK have nothing to worry about while the Bobbies protect the public from violent criminals with assault cameras committing camera crimes. 😄

The medical community nearby already do that to patients in the hospital and nursing homes.
My own family was slaughtered in this horrific way.

Please pray that the Lord will make a way for me to reach them with the gospel before it's too late. I am passionate about pursuing churches, compelling those who preach the gospel to reach the homeless and assisted living, hospitals and places that need outreach where the needy die without such knowledge as celebrities.

People Getting Fired For Mocking Charlie Kirk! #2
I don't get it, even if I felt this way about someone who had just been murdered I wouldn't post it online. I'd go to the Lord and ask for mercy that I could forgive them and not have bitterness in my heart.

You seem to be ignoring a serious violence problem within your own country. The UK already has very strict knife laws, even to the point of discussions on banning pointed tip kitchen knives -

“A ban on the sale of pointed kitchen knives has been backed by the Church of England, judges, top trauma doctors and psychiatrists, the police and victims as they argue that it would make life-threatening injuries far less likely.” link

Current strict Gov't knife laws: link

And yet...

"In 2024, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported over 55,000 incidents of knife-enabled crime in England and Wales – a 4% increase compared to the previous year and an 80% increase relative to figures from a decade ago (Office for National Statistics, 2025). This figure included over 260 murders in England and Wales involving a knife or a sharp instrument, and a further 3,735 admissions into NHS hospitals as a result of assault by a sharp object (Office for National Statistics, 2025)." link

So... you have out of control knife violence. In case you're not keeping up here, violence and murder is violence and murder no matter the instrument used.

Fact -
1. Laws don't stop motivated violent criminals. That's why serious consequences are needed.
2. Inanimate objects don't kill people. Violent people kill people.
3. Should they ban pointed tip kitchen knives, there is nothing to stop anyone from sharpening the tip at home. This is one of the stupidest thing I have read in a long time.

Meanwhile, as your gov't considers banning pointy kitchen knives, it's still open carry season for the machete crowd -

Currently, UK citizens are being arrested for silently praying, saying "We love bacon", defending their homes against intruders [who walk free], defending themselves against criminals, defending their children against rapists - the list goes on [google it, folks]. They are sheep for the slaughter under the current government with zero means of defense. THAT is the reason for our 2nd Amendment.
As I said , I'm glad we don't have much gun crime in the UK 😁 . We do have knife crime for sure , the vast majority of which is to do with drug gangs fighting amongst themselves , if u r not involved with them u r not likely to get hurt . As for people being arrested for ' silently praying I love bacon ' that's a new one on me . I had better b careful what I think to myself about cream cakes .
I live in one of the most deprived areas of England , in the middle of a town centre . I'm disabled and have to use crutches to walk outside . I am not afraid to leave my home alone , at any hour , and walk around my neighbourhood , which is apparently , one of the worst in the entire country . It's possible I might get mugged , if that happens I will just hand over my valuables without an argument . If someone tries to rape me they had better b prepared to kill me as I would fight that to the death . One thing I'm pretty sure of though , is that if anyone wants to hurt me , they will have to have the guts to get right up close and personal with me , eye to eye , because they won't b able to stand yards away from me and shoot me . That's a truly cowardly act .

Suze in another post you mentioned that you forgive a lot of comments here due to cultural differences and I commend you for that and God bless you for understanding that important aspect of our world.
I think that this is the time to forgive and respect the USA culture which is different from yours in terms of guns.

Funny you should mention that -
