2 Samuel 22:50
Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.

These are all great verses, and I love your idea. Thanksgiving is a time to not only give thanks for all the blessings God has given us, it is a time for me to focus on the foundation of Thanksgiving, our gracious and loving God. Psalm 100 is titled as A Psalm of Thanksgiving, and the spotlight is placed on the Lord:

Psalm 100
New King James Version

A Song of Praise for the Lord’s Faithfulness to His People

A Psalm of Thanksgiving.

1 Make a joyful shout to the
Lord, all you lands!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with
singing.
3 Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and
not we ourselves;
We are His people and the
sheep of His pasture.

4 Enter into His gates with
thanksgiving,
And into His courts with
praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless
His name.
5 For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all
generations.

Let's join the host of heaven who are also thankful to our awesome and wonderful God!

Amen! Blessing and glory and
wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and
power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen. (Rev. 7:12)
Psalm100-3Isaiah43-6b-7.png

It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth - everyone called by My name and created for My glory, whom I have indeed formed and made. Psalm 100 v 3, Isaiah 43 v 6b-7

Let us know when it is time to celebrate Christmas/Advent with verses and songs. :love:

Is it time to transition to Christmas verses yet?
(I am posting the traditional carols on the Mining Secular Music thread--
a little off the original topic, but I have amended it :^)
