Well, I was brought up in Long Beach. Once lived on Willow! Small world, shrinking all the time. God bless you and hold you close always.

Jo, the airport was quite a ways away from anywhere I lived. Of course I left for the USAF in 1962, and have not been back since the late 6k0's.By the airport?

My brother currently goes to (well, ditches school every single day) at Dominguez Preparatory School. He's a senior there, has all the credits already to get his diploma, so he just doesn't go to his classes.Wardlow Rd and Santa Fe. Lived there too. Went to Stevenson Jr. HS. Getting smaller.
The school in Dominguez I only recall is Dominguez Elementary, which I attended. My brother currently goes to (well, ditches school every single day) at Dominguez Preparatory School. He's a senior there, has all the credits already to get his diploma, so he just doesn't go to his classes.
Do not recall Bosco, sounds RC, not a problem. I used to go to mass at St. Anthony's, but not RC. A Catholic family practically adopted me, and I am so grateful to this day.I lived all over Long beach from 1959 to 1987.
Graduated from Wilson HS in "77".
Also went to ST John Bosco for one year.

It is a good school, but I think it was even better when your Father attended....I really am going to bed any minute, but this thread has me totally wrapt in it.My father went to poly around 1955 or so.

My brother Alex went to that elementary school, which is write next door to the middle/high school, Dominguez Preparatory School. He went to the elementary school for 3rd grade, then they transferred him to a magnet STEAM school in Watts, until he graduated from elementary school, then he went to middle school and high school, taking magnet STEAM honors classes, till junior year in San Pedro. Now he is right back next to the elementary school, where some of the first friends he ever met still go.The school in Dominguez I only recall is Dominguez Elementary, which I attended.
A Christian family practically adopted me from the age of 14 or 15. I am grateful for them also. Moved back in with my family when I was 26.Do not recall Bosco, sounds RC, not a problem.
