Yet your own catechism says you are to do such things. And the reason they give is:
#2132 "... Indeed, 'the honor rendered to an image passes to it's prototype,' and 'whoever venerates an image venerates the person portrayed in it.' "
So, you indeed worship images/idols because the RCC teaches that when you do it, you are worshiping the person behind it.
Thus, that would include Mary worship and worship of the "Saints".
