So contrary to Paul's instructions, for nearly 16 centuries the Catholic priest has been forbidden to marry by Canon Law! This is highly significant because of what Paul says next:

But the one church founded by Jesus was not the Roman Catholic church which came into being in 8th century AD, nor was it an hierarchical church. And it was certainly not centred on Rome. It was a spiritual church which was made up of all who were united with Him in His body, all true believers in Him as Messiah, no matter what their denominations.

The pillar of truth was the church founded on Christ and the Apostolic teaching, who abided by those teachings. Not some grotesque monster called the Roman Catholic church which was founded on lies, deceit, murder, adultery greed and godlessness. Just read its history in any good independent history textbook.
