Problem with your statement: most use 2 Tim 3 to justify the view as biblical. Why is this so? You cant' have a non-biblical authority that says everything must have biblical basis.

We do not have private interpretation when we have the Holy Spirit in us !!!
If you take and listen to your own self or another persons guidance of what to believe, and are not lead by the Holy Spirits guidance then you are in a private interpretation of scripture.
If you want to take and believe every person who stands behind a pulpit, or in front of the congregation preaching that is up to you. But their preaching must match His teachings in His word, and if they do not then they are false.
John 16:13

God has revealed to all believers His ways by His Holy Spirit that dwells within born again believers, therefore there can be no private interpretation by those who are lead and walk by the Spirit. Those who teach contrary to His word and preach a gospel other then what the Lord gave to us they are not lead by the Spirit...............

Sir, having the Holy Spirit within does not make you infallible (perfect) like God. You are still fallible man - imperfect and not free from error. Thus, your opinions are not perfect either.

Where did I ever say I think I am God and why do you use such faulty debates against another who is using the bible to defend their stance?
I do not think I am God nor would I ever, however we can not deny the scriptures that says the Holy Spirit will lead us in all truth. You also can not deny the scriptures that say that with God all things are possible to believers in Christ.
(Mark 9:23, Matthew 19:26, Philippians 4:13)
Do you believe what the scriptures say that all things are possible to a believer or do you not ???

Sir, you stated your interpretation is not private since you are lead by the Holy Spirit.
I can only conclude that you believe your interpretations are absolutely accurate (perfect, infallible) because they are from the Holy Spirit who proceeds from God.
Thus, your opinion comes from God and is infallible. This implies either your opinions are the equivalent of God's opinions, or you are God.

The Jesus Christ never intended the Faith to be boiled down to Scripture alone. For over 2,000 years that's never been the life of the Church. There is a great yearning of American protestants to learn about the early Church and its origin, practice, doctrine and traditions.

If what the spirit leads a person to in understanding and when compared to the scriptures to see if it contradicts or not will let one know if it is from the Holy Spirit of God or not. If it contradicts His word then it is not of God, but if it confirms His word then it is of God.
The Holy Spirit is infallible and therefore whatever He says is God's truth, and I am fallible but if I listen to the Holy Spirit I still will have the truth. Just because people are fallible does not mean they can not have God's truth and knowledge given by the Holy Spirit. It is therefore not an opinion if it comes from the Holy Spirit nor is is a private interpretation !!!

What I am saying is you've interpreted the bible to make your opinions infallible.
Opinion does not equal scripture itself.
If you have God's infallible knowledge, you should be able to tell me the date of the second coming (e.g. like the Adventists tried to do)

Your first statement is false as I do not lean on my own understanding (Proverbs 3:5), as I lean on and look to God for understanding and trust that He will guide me by the Holy Spirit. Therefore it can not be personal opinion if it is given by the Holy Spirit as the word clearly says will be done by God.
Your second statement is completely faulty as no man is given or will know the date of the second coming of Christ.
The all truth given by God through the Holy Spirit to believers in Christ is about how to receive salvation/eternal life that can only be given through faith in Christ.
You have some who go by a faulty Paulinian gospel that denies all that Jesus taught in the gospel books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Then you have other false gospels of law justification, earn salvation by works, and other ways of twisting scriptures to say baptism, repentance, forgiving others, and confessing of future sins not needed.
All denominations have branches of churches that have scriptural issues that they teach because not all people who call themselves Christians are truly Spirit lead. We only have one way to test those doing the preaching and teaching to see if they are teaching properly, and that is by the truth we are lead to in His word by the Holy Spirit.
We then are to use the scriptures to reprove and rebuke (show the person how they are wrong and the correct way by scripture), and then to exhort (encourage them to walk properly) in the way to walk.
2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Yes anytime one shows it from the bible for some reason to some it will still be only personal opinion...........
