I don't think there are any perfect churches. I don't attend my church because I believe everything that is in its Book of Discipline. I think Catholics are no different.

Our church has a Book of Discipline. It outlines the rules of the church government and states how it feels on certain issues. Changes are made every four years when about a thousand chosen members get together somewhere. It's main function would be to tell churches how to set up their governing committees and what rules they have to follow. Other than that, I don't think many people pay much attention to it.

Plenty of non- Catholics on CC who preach that they are sin- free because that is the only way to be Christian
yup, but we not go to Hindu tempel as a Christian. Catholic and Christian is 2 different religion. Like Hindu and buddha.

i see a big different. Christian not pray to mary, do not believe in purgatory, do not believe in indulgence system do not believe the only legal church must undur Peter and his successor,

Maby we should consider ( I speak for germany) almost all protestants and catholics are just nominal christians and dont know that they must be born again. They almost believe they are christians because they were baptized as Babys.
The RCC(and orthodox and some other denominations) teaching of being "born again" is infant baptism.
What RC's need to understand is that God dwells inside of us continually when we repent and invite Him to dwell inside and surrender to His ways.
It seems some RCs think God is only inside when they take communion/Eucharist...which goes in the stomach(at best).

Well, a great part of my relatives are RCC. Inmidst of thEM, some are believe the RCC doctrine and think the good deeds finaly will help them. Others dont believe that the Pope is infallible. But it makes me sad, that even talking about Jesus is difficult with them. Yesterday I watched a RCC tv Station were they clear said only RCC is the true church of Jesus Christ. And that the bible is only written book, but the revelations through the Spirit to the Pope are much more important. And the Pope is the direct successor from the apostle Peter. RCC is really the World greatest cult and is betragen many people!
We don't know what the average Catholic believes. Just because my bishop believes something doesn't mean I believe it, and I guarantee you there are things my bishop believes in that I don't believe in.
Your average person probably doesn't pay much attention to what the church leaders believe, and that is probably a good thing, because we shouldn't be following our church leaders - we should be following the Lord.
I think you bring up an excellent point. People here seem to believe the Catholics are all well versed in Catholic theology and believe all the things "they are supposed to believe," when the truth is probably that most of them know little about Catholic theology.

Maybe not,but theres a big difference between Catholic and Evangelical. Catholic church has too many false beliefs they have added over the years.They started out right then wandered off the path.
