Still it's hard to get the 'Christ' out of 'Christ'mas music, lol.
I hear ya & Cam, lol, though to me it all comes with the package of being 'Christ'mas and that special feeling in the air. Oh btw, don't forget one of my favorites 'Have A Holly Jolly Christmas' a la Mr Burl IvesOh. Like:

Most of the xmas songs I remember hearing as a kid revolved around Santa, a tree we turned into an idol, or the snowy weather.
Jesus wasn't in any of them.
Love the old hymns like O Holy Night, Little Town in Bethlehem, Silent Night, We 3 Kings, etc but I find it odd they're relegated to "Christmas" instead of being sung year-round.
I'm not suggesting I don't enjoy some secular Christmas music because I do. And I enjoy the sights and sounds and smells and tastes of Christmas as much as anyone. And I used to like how at least for a month people seemed genuinely nicer. And I always wondered why people packed up the niceness when they put away their decorations. But of late, I don't notice the niceness. I see alot of people searching for something more; looking for meaning and purpose. The religious music of Christmas can provide some answers. And like Genipher, I think it shouldn't be seasonal.I hear ya & Cam, lol, though to me it all comes with the package of being 'Christ'mas and that special feeling in the air.
