Good to know right @Blain ?

At Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS), the "standard" Master of Divinity equivalent is actually their Master of Theology (ThM). While most seminaries offer a 90-hour MDiv, DTS’s flagship program is a more rigorous 120-credit hour degree.

This massive workload due to enormous emphasis on ORIGINAL LANGUAGES!
A good teacher?.......Always teaches so well, that his students can prove him wrong, when he is wrong........Not many mistakes made from TRUE teachers.

That is all well and good but I don't have the time to listen to all that was provided and not that he is a bad teacher or anything but the sermons are time consuming and in a discussion board it is about having discussions and learning from each other so if anyone does not want to do that then that is fine but I am not going to waste six hours or more of teachings just to discuss matters
Priorities I guess. I have had to study for 2 days to answer some questions on discussion boards. The Lord Jesus Christ died for the world, I could at least get to know His Grace and Knowledge to answer questions.

It is NEVER a waste of time to grow in His grace and knowledge.

What takes up all your time? It should be Bible doctrine for ALL of us.

You should post one of his sermons you really connected with, I'm not familiar with him, but it seems his gift was understanding his prophetic word. Is that something you like
I don't normally post videos so forgive me if I do this wrong but here is this II enjoyed it a lot

I don't have the time or brain capacity to watch even close to that much I am sure you can and have but I am not able to do so not to mention I have brain damage twice in the same spot so my brain cannot hold that much information I am intellectually disabled so if your wanting me to learn all of that I am sorry to disappoint you.

Besides that though if you wanted to actually discuss these matters then that is a different story but that is how it is

Maybe start a new thread and post the sermon there just post the key points to the sermon in the detail about the sermon on your opening post, I think you forgot to include the link here,

OK. Well then don't gobble just nibble.
A little sound doctrine goes a long way.

Yep I didn't do it right I figured something would go wrong let me try again and granted it is a bit long so I don't expect anyone to watch it all the way

How can you discuss what you don't know? I think this is @cv5 point. If you have no understanding of the things he mentioned regarding how it all relates, what discussion points can you bring to the table? The reality is you can't.

We all learn differently and I can appreciate not everyone can sit for hours at a time listening to teaching. I find as I get older (and other reasons) I have to break up my hour long lessons into smaller parcels or I get too overwhelmed with information. The more technical that information, the harder I find to concentrate for long stretches.

This much I know, the teacher that never upsets your way of thinking? Is not teaching scripture properly. Jesus didn't just upset those who hated him, He upset the thinking of those who loved Him as well.

@Genez is fond of quoting 2Tim.4:3 with good reason. If you sit under a pastor that never says anything you don't like to hear? It is most likely you need to find another pastor.

"I know the state of that guest full well."

"Perseverance, dear my lord, Keeps honor bright."

Mat 26:27
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all ***of*** (FROM) it;

The KJV translates Strong's G1537 in the following manner: from (181x)

What is the result of willfully refusing to drink from it?

.... Are you Catholic? ;)

Most newborns need 8 to 12 feedings a day. That's about one feeding every 2 to 3 hours.

No cup no marriage. Pretty simple really.

And no @Cameron143, lottery tickets are not part of the program.
RF.
Why so bellicose?
I don't believe in any lottery.
Do you not know biblical words like election?
Have you ever read Galatians 5:22-23? Do you believe your comment was the result of being led of the Spirit?

I wanted to know your thoughts on it I cannot listen to every sermon posted not that they are bad by any means but you cannot have an honest discussion that way what are your personal thoughts on the matter?

Don't take offense.

Some questions asked can not be answered with a post as you wish.
Some questions need for the one asking to first learn an entirely new frame of reference to work with.
That is when a teacher will be recommended who can lay down what is needed to be first understood.

But, then again.
It must be the right teacher for you.
Another teacher you might find yourself wanting to give it a listen.

God can work that way.

Are you calling me a baby? ;)

I have a theory. Babies need to be fed often as their energy is being used primarily for growth. When we are older the switch is to maintenance and if you are living with a chronic illness, that requires more energy for maintenance so you have less for living.

Just a theory. :)

Some can be babies to sound doctrine for years.
They may eat a little bit, here.
And, a little bit there.

When introduced finally to sound doctrine - and they want it?
They may tend to pig out for a season. ;)

Maintenance? God is providing for all our needs.

This may be the case for some but I have dealt with debates and doctrines since 2912 so I am well versed with sound doctrine and false doctrines as well this is not because I know everything it is because I am teachable I always leave room for understanding and will admit when I am in the wrong

This is what is required for any discussion especially if one is going to be in a debate such as this but just because we don't agree on things doesn't mean I or anyone else are babes in sound doctrine

and the reality is your just a spec of dust to the magnitude of the size of his universe. Well it's also thought like this, like your just a drop in the ocean or a pin prick, compared to mind of the almighty, because it thought that Gods mind can do things you could only possibly imagine. In your wildest things

But more importantly from the dust you where formed and to dust you will return if you don't repent. Because sin is evil

And it's Gods will that if you eat the right amount of bananas you'll be like a healthy monkey

Running the race @Blain. Not sitting on the sidelines.

How does one know that they are led by the Spirit?......By knowing the protocol plan of God. Study, study and study. And APPLYING that knowledge.

We don't magically get to know His plan for us.......We have to ENGAGE in His plan. Grow in His Grace and knowledge.

These forums are a perfect example. Some are stuck on stupid and some are advanced. Some are VERY advanced.......Running the race. Not sitting on the sidelines.
