Dear Cameron143

What's left after a man dies? The body return to dust, including all parts of his body. Luke 6:45 is talking about old and new testament, a different context altogether.

Can you read again and try to understand?

Kind regards
Collin
Is your name Clay or Collin?

How about you explain your understanding to me. Your assertion seems to make no sense.

Maybe this translation might help clarify...

But I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind
and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.

.......

Maybe .. for some at least ... maybe for others, a brick wall for me to talk to. ;)

So, God created moral, personal, rational beings to compete with Him. You must think that the helpless, vulnerable, slow-witted, slow-footed, weak sheep of his pasture are sovereign, too, right? I mean...why would sheep need any stinkin' sheep-herding shepherds to take care of them, right?

He originally created them to be rational and honest.

If you told them before the fall, what you just told me?
They would have to look to the Lord and ask Him to tell them the words needed to describe your mindset, because they never seen it before.

Since you're so humble and maybe not-so-smart (?), I have a question for you and for the rest of your sovereign freewill comrades. Please explain to me how God is not morally culpable for the brutal murder of his only Begotten Son per the teaching in Act 4:27-28.
I wish you could make sense.

Not quite. He hasn't belittled anyone.
maybe who knows it bit odd tho this discussion about the soul and flesh. I'm just thinking it's leading to same ideas as genez regarding the soul does not commit evil.

Then there this other new member speaking silly comments to him blue, who has belittled people

Seems to be many new members in here all displaying the same madness

For your reasoning to be correct, the flesh would necessarily always be the influencing aspect of humanity. But this isn't the case. Both the mind and the heart direct the flesh sinfully. This would not be the case if the heart and mind are not corrupted. They would necessarily always direct the flesh to do good.

My reasoning? How about what the scripture is saying? Does that mean nothing to you?

Why should the heart and mind direct the flesh to do good? We have no inherent goodness in any part of our being. You need to start at the start line. You keep starting midway through the process. The lie of the other law has to go into effect before anything ends up in the heart to keep the circle going.

If we were in a race, you would be jumping the start line and therefore would be disqualified.

Have a nice day Cameron. I see no point in continuing.

grace and peace.

Keep in mind. Jehovah Witnesses also think they know better than you.

@cv5 @Kroogz I have been thinking…it is written in the book of Zechariah and Hebrews that God forms man’s spirit and is the Father of spirits. It is written in the book of Acts that we are the offspring of God. It is written in the Psalms that the LORD he is God, he hath made us. Did God make man without free will or to be totally depraved? If He did, then what part of man? If we have no free will, then does God? And what aspect of man came from God that does not have free will or is totally depraved? If we are made in the image of God, and God has free will, then we have free will. If God has free will, and we do not, then we are not made in His image. Also, did God form a spirit to be in man that is robbed or incapable of making a choice to choose Him? It is written in Genesis that God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Did Adam have free will? If not, then did God breathe into man’s nostrils and soul not to have free will and be totally depraved? And why? Was this God’s intention from before the creation itself?
