And of course the answer from scripture is very clearly that Jesus DID in fact go to the Cross of ALL men.

The calvinists have been shown this time and time again and they continue to refuse to accept the whole counsel of God and would rather continue being cherry pickers, scripture twisters, and they love to ignore scripture they does not fit their eisegesis View attachment 279897

They are just like the "pray to Mary" Catholics, whom no amount of Scripture would put a dent in their devotion to their goddess complex worship.

Between McLaughlin, Chronister and Theime, one will never run out of top notch doctrine.

They are so good, the world tries its best to hide them.

But if one WANTS the truth, God will lead them to these spectacular teachers.
Chronister destroys the determinists in almost every lecture. And he's right.

but from an inside perspective looking at myself, if i was free to choose my own destiny i would with 100% certainty wind up damned. and i am 100% sure that is transferable to everyone.

Ok. Lets go with your explanation.

Many is a subset of all, not equal to all.

Honestly Sis. Your mind is of the flesh. You are so focused on man and his flesh, that you cannot see the light of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is that darn freewill in us.

dude her entire conversation has been that the flesh profits nothing; The Spirit is Life

This is true. Calvinists are certainly reprobate.

Over the years I've been involved in a lot of long drawn out discussions with these people and they have proven time and time again that they are definitely NOT being led by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ.... they got them one of those angels of lights (religious demons) and sadly they love it so.

One of my brothers is a catholic and the other a calvinist.... needless to say, they don't like me! funny.gif

Psalm10-3-4-Proverbs21-24-Isaiah2-11-12-1-Cor1-29.png

The wicked man boasts in the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD. In his pride the wicked man does not seek Him; in all his schemes there is no God. Psalm 10 v 3-4 Mocker is the name of the proud and arrogant man - of him who acts with excessive pride. Proverbs 21 v 24 The proud look of man will be humbled, and the loftiness of men brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day. For the Day of the LORD of Hosts will come against all the proud and lofty, against all that is exalted - it will be humbled. Isaiah 2 v 11-12 No flesh may boast before God. 1 Cor 1 v 29

@Genez

y'all need some Stephen Chronister.

R.B. Thieme,Jr. taught history on a PhD level.

Students at MIT invited him, and had set up a Bible conference.
He also taught at other universities.
Again, by invite.

As far as his exegesis?

I used have contact with a professor Stan Ashby, who after his retirement taught ancient languages at a Bible college.
My roommate at Bible college had a series of recorded lessons given by Professor Ashby.
The ones I heard were titled... "Was Adam the First Man?"

His exegesis astounded me.
Next thing I knew, I found myself sitting in front of him on church on service night.
I turned around and told him how much I appreciated what he taught in that series.
Professor Ashby kept telling me how he got it from Thieme.

Professor Ashby at one time was associated with Harvard, when Harvard was still conservative.

grace and peace ............

Seriously tho, good stuff! - -

Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned
Romans 5:18
Therefore, as through one man's offense [judgment came] to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act [the free gift came] to all men, resulting in justification of life.
can't have 19 without 12 and 18.
this is complex :)

why does 12 say all sin but 19 say only many were made sinners by the judgement 18 says came to all?

and then Romans 3:9-20 tells us unequivocally forcefully ((@studier)) that all have sinned and no one seeks Him?

R.B. Thieme Jr. possess an astounding grasp of the ancient languages unequaled in my (limited) experience.

This expertise quickly evaporates the various heresies into vapor.

Heresies all too commonly merchandised by the super-determinists around here.

His well reasoned expert level exegesis makes the Calvinist pseudo-philosophers around here sound like babbling infantile idiots.

They do not know that though.

They have not been exposed to that type of teaching you just covered.
They have no idea it even exists.

And, sent for free.
No money asked for.

About 11,000 hours of teaching just for the asking.

Acts 9:15
But the LORD said to Ananias,
Go! This man is My chosen instrument to proclaim My name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.
just realized kjv uses vessel and niv instrument - - the church i grew up in switched ~ 1985 so my memory is a mix of the two, ha

so maybe you didn't immediately get my reference :)

even more apropos then @cv5 - -

does the vessel form itself, fill itself, or determine for itself why the Potter has made it?
