Look at what you just did. I say our definition of repentance is the same and you equate that with whether or not something is a gift.
For the record, no one possesses anything they haven't received. No one ever reached out to grasp volition; it is an innate quality. But the exercise of volition doesn't equate to salvation or lead to salvation. It is the new heart that frees the volition to respond obediently...Ezekiel 36:26-27. This is the new covenant promise.
 
I wonder why people just keep using his word this way

Time and time again we just see people popping in with some scripture that seems intent with pushing you away from God.

It's all a bit sad really.

The new heart is part of sanctification so now we are back to sanctification preceding justification, which is never found in scripture as

the ordo salutis.

I have showed you that the Word of God is life ...

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick [Greek = zaō = living], and powerful , and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The living Word is spoken by faithful believers ... that is God reaching out to mankind ... the believer plants or waters ... God gives increase:

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Those who do not suppress the truth in unrighteousness receive the blessing from the living Word of God.

The new heart is instrumental in sanctification. This truth doesn't negate the necessity of it for salvation. What scripture says a new heart is solely for sanctification?

When was the last time any determinists here broached the discussion of the "two judicial imputations"?

Never is when. Because it is a another doctrinal wrecking ball certain to demolish the Calvinist edifice.
