But it does explain how God chooses.
Reminder to Cameron: >>> chooses for SERVICE.
But it does explain how God chooses.
I would possibly agree with you if Romans 8:29 said WHAT God foreknew and not WHOM God foreknew.
right ... the fact that God allows mankind to suppress the truth in unrighteousness does not in any way, shape or form negate or affect the sovereignty of God.God does not waste anything.
We are witnessing to the reality that God does not over rule what men want to believe.
Can you show that from scripture? That's not stipulated in Deuteronomy 7.Reminder to Cameron: >>> chooses for SERVICE.![]()

He simply sets His affection upon us.
That's not what the verse says. You can interpret as you like, but it doesn't change what is there. It is not speaking about WHAT God foreknew. It says WHOM He foreknew. You only cite part of the verse, which is possible to interpret as "Those God foreknew [would choose to accept Christ] He also predestined [planned from the beginning] to be conformed to the image of His Son [to become morally perfect in heaven]...".
And this understanding jibes perfectly with Scripture teaching that all sinners may (MFW) accept Christ or not--and experience God's preplanned just consequence for rejecting His love/grace.
Too easy.
Read it for yourself. It says He chose them because He loved them and would keep the oath He had sworn. Are you sure?
World there means what? Every single person who ever existed? Don't think so. The word is kosmos. The connotation is of the whole of creation existing well ordered and harmonious.calvies John 3:16
For God had affection on @Cameron143 that He Sovereignly chose @Cameron143 ...........
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.
Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.Amen. And Amen. What are we going to use during these times of testing? The Lords problem solving devices or the worlds?
But this doesn't come miraculously or instantaneously to the believer. One needs to advance in His Grace and knowledge in order to KNOW how to institute HIS problem solving devices.
Oh Puuleeeese ...Jesus made the analogy take it up with Him!!!
Birth is a singular event in time, boy you guys have to conflate, expand and add where ever necessary to serve the "system"
The "world" means Calvies. It means @Cameron143 and @Rufus and @Magenta.World there means what?
Sad. But very true. Some are here just to make Christians to regret being Christian.
Do a little research, and try not to get so jaded.

"does not in any way, shape or form negate or affect the sovereignty of God."
Sad. But very true.
Who chose to be born? Who chose their parents? Place of birth? Who made you to prefer some colors over others? Who caused you to prefer certain foods over others? Is God unfair in choosing such things?
Who sets the bounds of your habitation? Who chooses the weather each day? Who allows you to prosper? Is God unfair in choosing such things?
It seems it's only unfair if God decides to have a people for Himself. But not in the OT. It's okay for God to choose a people then. Then it's okay to covenant with a people and put them in a land. But somehow it's not okay for God to choose a people and put them in Christ.
And what is wrong with God choosing? Isn't walking in the Spirit all about submitting to God's choices? The fact is, we were never created to live independently from God. Even Adam and Eve, before they sinned, walked daily with God. All this fuss about choosing by a people who are supposed to be walking according to His choices.
Enough that God my Father knows
Nothing this faith can dim.
He gives the very best to those
Who leave the choice with Him.

Do you know what is truly weird coming from these free willing folks? Is that in their haste to mockWhy don't you go find an admin and whine in your beer to him? Perhaps he'll take
pity on you and rescue you from these "evil" believers in the Doctrines of Grace.
I get it. It doesn't fit well with who you think God is. Even when the scripture suggests God is different than you think, that man is different than you think, it doesn't matter. So since I shared scripture you couldn't refute, you make it seem like revealing God and man as the scripture ascribes them is a bad thing.I do love how you minimize the practical implications of God's choosing some for salvation and not others.
You express such deep and profound devotion to the God of Narrow Unconditional Salvation Selection.
So inspiring!
Why fuss, my thought as well, I mean the others fit themselves for destruction right?
You make it seem so wondrous, now that is a true gift, cheers to you, you have really come out of your shell .... keep up the good work!!![]()
