Ah bless you Kim. I am sure this one went a few different routes. There is truth in what you said ...yet not. No matter what how we personally believe Christ or GOD can not lie. We can ask Him anything in JESUS name and He WILL do it. What ever we desire when we pray believe you receive it and you will have it. Delight your self in the lord and He will give you the desire of your heart. Ask Jesus anything.. He will do it. On and on.
If we know He hears us we know we have the petitions we asked for. His WILL is His word. The flip side..if we doubt.. let not that man think He will get anything from God. You have not because you ask nor or you are asking wrong. God called those things that be not as though they were.
These are truths. They ALWAYS work. The KEY is.. does it LINE UP with HIS word? Can I do as you have asked here? No. Well I know it does not work that way. Now needing way to get to work or the like.. it will work every time. Something some way He will open all the doors. Its just.. so many times its NOT what WE personally wanted. Case in point. I was working and I had to walk. Well one night I had a dream. I was riding this Yamaha 185 motorcycle. A few days later I was walking by some old like barn and I could see just the front wheel of a bike. So I go to the man and ask if he wanted to sell it? He said.. just take it. The bike? It was a Yamaha 185. No I never saw it before.. never had a motorcycle before. Was not event thing about any thing like that.
This was just ONE of many many things He always does. I mean.. my heart.. I give anything away.. the LAST thing I do is try to sell it. But most of all.. this is not my home. The streets in heaven.. God used GOLD! Hello? HAHA!
when I give .. I never give to get. I KNOW what BLESSINGS He has promised me in His word. There is up to a 100 fold return. Yet.. that is NOT EVER where my heart or mind is. I give to HIM...because He has blesses me period. To this very moment.. He has always kept His word. I don't go by what any man says.
We are made in HIS image. There is a truth also calling those things that be not as through they were. BUT It has to be written and go in line with HIS word.

I can pretty much sum up the answer with just one word.
Ignorance.

And many others refuse to listen because they can't look at WHAT IS WRITTEN, because they can't take their eyes off from "reality", or what they perceive as reality.
In other words, all they look at is what has happened to others, or what is happening to the rest of the world, instead of looking at WHAT IS WRITTEN.
God said to not let His word DEPART FROM BEFORE YOUR EYES, and to keep it in the midst of your heart, for they (His words) ARE LIFE AND HEALTH TO ALL YOUR FLESH.
The devil ALWAYS tries to get the believers to take their eyes off of the word of God, and at the world of the natural, because it is the same world he is god of.
How can you claim to be in the kingdom of heaven, which is IN YOU, when you are in the world?
Let me put it another way.
The kingdom of heaven is NOT in heaven, but where the believers are, here on earth.
And the kingdom of heaven is NOT the same place as the kingdom of man, or the natural?physical world. It is like the natural and spiritual worlds coexist in the same place, but on different planes.
When you focus your thoughts by looking at what is going on in the physical world, or what has happened, you just left the kingdom of heaven, because where your thoughts are directed, or whatever it is you are looking at with your heart/thoughts, there your are.

The tree in the above parable are the words you agree with and have received.
The good word, is of course, the word of God, such as,
Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
But an evil word/tree would be anything disagreeing with what is written, even a little. Such as, "yes that is true BUT what about so and so, you know they tried that faith stuff and died", or "that's true BUT what God really meant was, if it be HIS will and NOT what YOU DESIRE." Or something like what you said to me, "look at the rest of the world or church".
Whatever you look at the most, whatever you focus your attention on the most, is what your heart will believe. Which means, that is what your faith will be in or on.
The treasure spoken of is about all the time you spent looking at the words you agreed with and received, whether good or bad.
And who or what does the word of God say brings forth this imaginary treasure into reality?
The man himself.
The "good man... BRINGS FORTH good things, and the evil man BRINGS FORTH evil things.
But at the same time, notice, the seed planted, when it is mature, brings forth the same kind of fruit that the tree is.
For example, an apple tree can only produce apples and not poison berries.
And you you bring them forth by speaking God's word/promises in faith. As it is written. That means, you have to believe what is written ABOVE what you see, hear, feel, perceive, experience, and that of others. Which starts with, looking at what is written and reminding God and the devil what His word says.
Like God said, His people not only don't receive from God, because of their (willful) ignorance, but they are sickly and destroyed because of the same said reason.
You CANNOT have faith in God to do anything for you, when you don't know what He's going to do and you can't have faith in the supernatural when you are always looking at the natural, because your faith will be in whatever you are looking at the most.
If you believe and accept what the doctor says, then that is what you have. If you reject his words, then that is what you don't have.

It has nothing to do with getting healed of and from sicknesses and diseases.
Yes, everyone has to die, the very most die because of sickness/ ore out of order of the organs. That means even persons which were healed from any desease will die to another desease. The healing was not there for to guarantee a health life, but to show that Jesus is the son of God.
The cause of all benefit in our life is God!

You will die of a disease, because that is what you believe, but I will NOT, because "my God satisfies my mouth with good things, therefore, my youth is renewed like the eagle".

And if the lord tarries long enough, I know what age I will be when I die, because He told me, out of the blue, nine years ago. I think because I might have wondered, at one time, what age I would be, when I died.

You must have got that lie from observing how the natural world works.
The good news of the gospel is, we don't have to suffer as the world does, because Jesus not only is our savior and healer, but our protector, preserver, and deliverer from such things as sicknesses and diseases.
God wants all His children healthy till they die, and we don't have to succumb to such.
It is written,
Psa 91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
Psa 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
That is because I have made the Lord and His kingdom, my habitation or dwelling place.
Your faith is that you will some day die due to sickness or disease, therefore, as it is written, according to your faith, it will be done to you, and the God of heaven will see to it, because He has to fulfill His word, such as the law of sin, the law of sowing and reaping, and the law of faith.

Part of the problem in the wof debate is that our walk in power is 2 fold.
1) passive protection and blessing and favor etc.
2)proactive. This is where I go against the enemy directly and speak the word over myself and family directly.
My "tools" are word of God,faith,authority,and knowledge of my position in Christ.
Also is my knowledge of the exponent of the anointing (elish/elijah) as well as Gods will for healing and prosperity.
People suffer needlessly over not even knowing it is Gods will to heal and prosper.
They flat out do not know their bibles.
In healing they know about 4 anti healing verses from paul that they pull out like a gunslinger and somehow think the 75 other verses are now voided.
In prosperity they can recite mans failure in Gods entrustments (the gospel,the anointing and finances)
So they frame Gods entire storehouse of miracles anointing,health and prosperity on failed humans and reframed verses they think void any blessing God has for his children.
Even the ot appears to me to be summed up in GRACE.

Well, i working in hospital and found no different in sickness between unbeliever and believer. I have no statistic, but even in dieing there is no different between believer and unbeliever. Also an unbeliever can die an peaceful death.
The most human will die, if they not die because of violence ore accident, because of any desease ore organ collapse.
Of course you can close your eyes before the reality. And if you will die in very old age, it will be because your body is weakend. But if so be blessed for that.
But what you are doing, is to blame every sick and handycapped and poor believer of not having faith enough!! This is a hit in the face of every desease suffering believer. And there is no single promiss to find in the bible (out of the OT) that believers are in this world imun against handicap and mental ore physical sickness.
Also i recognized in my 30 years as nurse is. That healthy people have often no patience and no compassion with sick people.

I do believe that the kind of faith and power your talking about can be acquired through Christ but we would need to be "just like Christ" .
As for the children of Israel dying out leaving their children to inherit the promised land? God gave the Israelites all that they needed to believe in Him and they still were stiff necked and rebellious against the plan of God for them. They had a choice, they made their choice and the suffered the consequences of their choices.
