So Calvin was an angry, perverted, Gay sociopath like Hitler? It figures.
Well I do not know of the veracity of this

Well I found it from 3 different sources and the psychopathy makes sense.Well I do not know of the veracity of this, however, I having read some of his words I have wondered about a certain level of self-loathing, also in the works of Augustine there this similar tone.

A biased source, however, they do seem to have done their homework.
i dont believe the way calvin is being demonized. but after having read his own writings (not others about him) i can see that he and i have a completely diffferent look on God. if calvinist churches believe as calvin did in his institutes, i have to repent of my saying that i just respectfully disagree and instead i disrespectfully disagree. because i cant respect anyone who teaches baibes go to hell if they arent lucky enough to be elect. this goes against what God said in deuteronomy to israel. its evil to say that and unbiblical i dont like it. very cold system, where is the love? did calvin forget satan exists and put him in unemployed list and had God took over satan's work? thats what it sounds like.Well I do not know of the veracity of this, however, I having read some of his words I have wondered about a certain level of self-loathing, also in the works of Augustine there this similar tone.
No, the verse says now that you know God, or are known by him. Paul is saying that now they claim to be believers, which would mean they are known by God, but he calls that into question by their slavery to the law. In other passages, where Paul is teaching specifically on God forwknowing his people Paul makes this more explicit. This passage Paul just mentions it off hand in the middle of a totally different discussion, namely the Galatians struggle against the judiazers. The better way to understand this doctrine is not to use this verse, as there is no discussion or explanation here. Go to places like Ephesians or Romans where that is the topic and read all that Paul has to say about it. We read the clear passages to help interpret the unclear or brief passages. That's my recommendation.I’ve studied Galatians thoroughly, actually did a year study on it and your explanation is good. You said believers are known of God. Before they became believers, did God know them? Now that God knows you...
I'm glad someone else already answered this with an actual historic answer. This type of slandering is truly shameful. To not even bother to get your historical quotes.......just wow.MORE FACTS:
(1) in 1527, the year he was 18, Calvin was arrested, tried, and convicted of homosexual activity. Instead of being executed (per French law at the time), he was branded with a fleur-de-lis on one of his shoulders.
(2) In 1551, a Catholic controversialist revealed that the archives of the city of Noyon, Calvin’s birth place, contain the record of a condemnation against Calvin, at age 18, for sodomy. He had by then already received the tonsure. His parents obtained clemency from the bishop, so that instead of being condemned to death as the law demanded, he was branded as a sign of infamy. The Catholic controversialist presented the evidence signed by all the eminent personages of the city. The English scholar Stapleton went there to examine the archives during Calvin’s lifetime, and vouched for the fact. The contemporary German Lutherans spoke of it as an established fact (Schlusselburg, Theologie calvinienne).
What an example to set up the House of God in![]()
Where in Deuteronomy did God say that all babies go to heaven? Did we forget about Adam's sin, the sin credited to everyone before they were born? In fact, I'd say that the free will advocate is in a worse case. No baby has a chance to make a free will choice for God, so that would mean that they all go to hell. In the reformed view, there are some that are saved from this by God's grace. It is a perfectly biblical and consistent idea to say that God is free to save elect infants just like he is adults. Your disagreement is with scripture, friend. i cant recommend anyone look at the institutes of calvin its very harsh. augustine i already know to have very weird ideas. he didnt even know greek and is considered a good scholar. my note on church fathers: if they are after nicene 325, they are not to be considered. because thats when the state religion came to be and things started really going to roman catholicism. and augustine is from this time area

I won't defend everything Calvin did or taught. I don't love using his name to describe my theology. But slander is just horrible. Shame on you.
Someone else already linked to a source that completely destroys your argument. The document quoted from is inaccurate. Please see the above link.Seriously?
He was convicted of homosexuality, specifically the act of sodomy, that still is in the French records of the town he was born and raised in. And just so that we are clear, 3 others have documentation from the court of those times claiming what I copy/pasted to be factual.
But since it's obvious you need to be educated concerning this, do you know what specifically the act of sodomy was in those days?
Calvin was caught red handed with another man's manhood in his mouth.
This is the tripe reprobate source some Baptist churches have built their foundations on!!
Whatever happened to building your foundations only on Yeshua?
But no, a church who belittles other churches for Speaking in Tongues, for getting a little happier than them in worship service, for others claiming the misinterpretation of scripture and false representation of the Holy Spirit...is a church built on the principles of someone who performs the nastiest of homosexual acts, and gets caught doing it!!
I am sorry you don't like it.
But Yeshua taught us the TRUTH SHALL set you FREE!!
Maybe then, you need to be FREED!!
No baby or young child can either understand or believe the Gospel, yet alone repent. That condition applies only to those who are actually capable of responding to the Gospel. No baby has a chance to make a free will choice for God, so that would mean that they all go to hell.

Also, the charge of sodomy is anal sex. You can feel free to look that up too. In France the technical charge includes phalacio, but is by no means limited to it. It's primary meaning and intent is anal sex. You say others need to be educated, but you can't even source that correctly. My point still stands. Shame on you.
You cannot provide a single verse in all of scripture to support your above conclusion. And (as I've pointed out before) you are horrible at exegeting scripture. You take single sentences OUT OF CONTEXT and twist them. Honestly, it's disgusting. No baby or young child can either understand or believe the Gospel, yet alone repent. That condition applies only to those who are actually capable of responding to the Gospel.
However, because Christ did for the sins of the whole, He has already paid the price for all little children. Therefore all babies and little children will experience the grace of God, and be in Heaven with the saints.
King David said that he would meet his child who died because of his sin. That could only be in Heaven, where all the OT saints are at present: But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me. (2 Sam 12:23)
That's why the Gospel is all about the grace of God. Not his misinterpreted sovereignty.
