Well, I’m getting older and apparently, now caffeine sensitive. I never used to have this problem before but it seems like I can no longer have caffeinated beverages.

What I’ve noticed, is that it causes extreme stress, gives you (at least me) insomnia and speeds up my heart big time.

I used to love drinking Diet Coke or Starbucks coffee all the time but it seems like it’s impossible now, without all the side effects.

Does anyone else have caffeine sensitivity? And if so, do you have any other issues in your body that may be the cause of caffeine sensitivity?

I actually have the opposite....complete caffeine insensitivity....
BUT
Now that I'm post retirement and can actually take the time to drink a whole pot before starting my day....
My prostate is becoming not amused about the caffeine and other stimulants I consume daily.
So Milk Thistle is now part of my daily regime and I have cut back to half to ¾ of a pot daily.

I also had to stop the daily antihistamine....and I enjoyed them....more accurately the lack of allergy symptoms.. However, stopping Zyrtec has caused phantom itching....it drove me insane to begin with but it's slowly fading with only brief episodes.

I have a right sided heart....meaning my heart is strong on the incorrect side. Meaning consistent low blood pressure but not serious to do anything about. So zero heart or BP issues.

Just giving you a heads up as to things to look forward to.

Thanks @JohnDB
Congratulations on the zero heart or BP issues. God is good.

I like stevia too.
The problem around here is that the stores carry brands that mix it with corn sweeteners. They mess with me; inflammation and not as good of quality as the brand I used to buy. I've converted too Lakanto monk fruit drops this year because of that.
Is there a particular brand of stevia that you like?
Um, I usually get the 100% stevia grains 2-4 pound bag on Amazon. I forgot what company makes it but they are known for having items that are 100 percent pure, no additives (hopefully). I no longer have the bag it came in but it is stored in a ziplock bag with a few plastic knives inside of it, to use for digging…I usually just use a tip of the plastic blade on the knife to put into any drink and it seems to work fine.

It’s Stevia Extract Powder by BulkSupplements.

I bought supplements from that company before. It's good to know that they have stevia.
Does it have any odd aftertaste like most brands do in coffee?

My wife worried that I drank so much coffee. Unbeknownst to me, she prayed for me. Overnight I went from 10 mugs a day to none. You are on the right track with drinks.
My husband went from drinking soooo much coffee to none, when he switched to a carnivore diet.

Sadly, it does, which is why i use just a little bit so you can't taste those after effects, like almost all stevia brands.
My favorite stevia brand for taste has way more additives, I think they have them at Starbucks, forgot the name, but I think pure is just better for overall health, cause that natural ingredient could be anything.

I know what you mean. Something in the Starbucks packets causes me to get inflammation through my body.
It's surprising how such a little bit of that messed me up for a while. I think the processing plants aren't required to list ingredients under 2% of their products. It might contain aspartame or something else harmful and we wouldn't know it.

There used to be a company or two that sold a high quality stevia that didn't have anything other than allulose and it actually passed the coffee No Aftertaste Test. One was Sweet Leaf brand, but they changed a lot. I forget the other brand.

I guess I’ll just stick with the one I’m currently using. I really don’t mind the taste, I actually got (kinda) use to it. It is what it is. I’d rather have mental clarity, than not.
