I'm looking for some books to read.. preferably about other Christian's walk with God and stuff if you know any good ones let me know please :D
 
I'm a bit of a book freak so there are many many many books i could tell u the names of that are pretty incredible but the first book I would definately recommend is called "The Irresistible Revolution" by Shane Claiborne, it talks about what being a christian is really about and kind of changes your perspective on the world and what following Jesus is really all about, its incredibly inspiring and i loved it!

Stormie Omartian's book: Stormie is an autobiography, but written in an easy-to-read style. It's about her life as a child and all throughout her teen years, all the pain she endured before God met her where she was at, and turned her suffering into something beautiful.

Other books I would recommend:

Planetshaker, you get 10 billion invisible internet dollars for mentioning Shane Claiborne. That was seriously like my first step to becoming a Christian; that book. No joke. Haha, so I second it.

"From Union Square to Rome" by Dorothy Day is awesome. She was a pro-abortion, Marxist, atheist woman who became Christian. She's definitely one of my heroes.

G K Chesterton's "Orthodoxy," "Heretics" and "The Everlasting Man" are all really good, too. Orthodoxy is sort of a sequel to Heretics; he answered some of the critiques that people had of "Heretics" and also talks a bit more about his own faith.

I just read great book titled "Life, Death, and THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN. gOT IT FROM AMAZON
 
"The shack", it's a nice book about god appearing to a depressed man in a shack and helps him overcome his sadness by conversations with the whole trinity, it's a nice mix of humor, spirituality, and the evils ones mind can come up with. It's really good but ya gotta keep in mind it's fiction.

I realize that the OP is no longer a member, but this is still a thread that I'd like to post in :). I really liked the books by Corrie Ten Boom (The Hiding Place, In My Father's House, and Tramp for the Lord are the ones I've read, though she wrote others). I also loved God's Smuggler to China by brother David (secret work; first name only :)). How to live like a King's Kid was a good one also. Many of the books published by the voice of the Martyrs have testimonies in them also...I liked reading "Iran: desperate for God", and "Between two Tigers", and others that VOM published.
