F. I know you all probably have other answers than the ones given, so don't be shy and let's hear them! :)

If I am seeing someone whose parents are still alive, they are probably too young for me :geek::whistle::unsure::giggle::devilish:

I'll make lasagna any ways :D And a raspberry-topped white chocolate cheesecake :)

I'd choose #1.

Not 7 courses though.😝

Maybe pie instead of cake. Or trifle...🤔

I like cooking and baking, but one needs to take into account allergies and sensitivities these days...so Pinterest and Google would be consulted to be sure my meal didnt inflict needless pain on anyone!

Who wants to come for dinner?! 🤣

Excellent point...

I'm not exactly a cook as it is, and people seem to have so many special dietary needs/preferences these days, I'd be afraid of offending or poisoning someone just with the starter salad!

"Food" seems to be the new subject of controversy these days, right up there with politics and religion.

I would get a an F on this test since I whenever this happened at work, eg they tell you bring something for shared morning tea etc it was always on some silly day like Wednesday when it was your busy night on Tuesday and you never had time to prepare ahead or any baking. So you just bought what was already in the cupboard or some fruit because eating ten different kinds of cakes and biscuits didnt appeal.

In this situation as outlines above which has never happened because usually men dont ever want you to meet their parents or cook for them...cooking for my own parents is hard enough since I have a number one complainer and the other one is happy with either just junk food or mashed potatoes and sausages or takeaways I think what I would do is ask my someone special to go catch some fish or hunt and I will cook whatever he catches, kills, (or buys) cos if its on me to do all the shopping, preparing and cooking I will need a whole week to do it depending on the set up of the kitchen (most fresh food actually needs to be bought on the day...I dont do ovens and baking, then have to bring it all over which then gets cold by the time you bring it depending on how far away they live...and microwaved or heated up food is not appealing either...I have endured many disastrous COLD pot lucks to the point where I am NOT doing that ever again)

The deal is if you provide the food I will cook it. Or I bring the food and we cook it together( i.e on their wok, bbq, or hot pot)

Otherwise its pizza. You need to read seven books though cos then its free.

Do children's books count?

If so, I'm betting on free pizza for a month!!! OH YEAH!!!

I already have a head start, seeing as I have a copy of this in front of my book shelf.

Yep I count all books, short ones you may need to read to me or we read it together (children have told me so many stories that I probably know 'Im a frog' off by heart. )

they are only giving away childrens pizzas though. I would love to make pizza but for really good pizza you need a goot hot pizza oven and good dough and flip them in the air. It has to be mozerella cheese and fresh toppings but the thing is you need all that set up before hand. and then be making pizzas day and night so, maybe I should have gone into the pizzeria business instead of being a librarian.

as with many fussy eaters you might end up having to do a half and half pizza because its rare that everyone agrees on one kind of pizza toppings.

:)

I secretly despise you for all the relationship topics, but there is no stopping them.

When I find the kryptonite, it will be a game changer. (picture villain laughing)

Totally hypothetical question, by the way. This will never happen. Well, I least pray to God it won't happen.

For the sake of discussion, would insist on going to a very practical (not to expensive) restaurant.

That way if it goes South, there is a quick exit. Also, you could tell the waitress to have separate checks. Such a brilliant plan.

Very easy set up, with very little loss. Worst case scenario: You break up with your girlfriend, have her parent's hate you, and wasted 30 minutes of your time. If this happened, you still had a decent lunch. You had to eat any ways right?

If you state it in public, it's no longer a secret.

Just take a deep breath, and say it out loud, "SEOULSEARCH, I DESPISE YOU!!!" And that's perfectly ok.

But I've been writing threads about relationships since 2009, so unless God tells me to stop (or shows you my secret kryptonite :devilish:), I'm not planning on ceasing any time soon. Your best bet would be to put me on ignore. :)

When I came to CC, I was a very broken person. Writing threads here was a part of becoming almost whole -- or at least, less partial -- than I was before.

Some of the topics are very strong on my heart and I will feel moved to write about them. Over the years, a few people have been kind enough to write and say, "Thank you for bringing up X subject; I was going through the same thing and it really helped me," which always makes the time and effort more than worth it.

I honestly believe this is part of my calling in my single life. Many moons ago, I wanted to be a psychologist, so talking about people and how/why they relate to each other is kind of my thing. :) It's just the way I'm built.

If there comes a day when I truly believe God doesn't want me to write anymore or that it's not helping anyone (or the CC admin decides to ban me,) I will stop.

But until then... once again... nudge, nudge.

The "IGNORE" button is right at your fingertips. :) Best wishes to you, Kinda, and please feel free to utilize it. :)

Never. I prefer drama to fight drama. It works. Plus, I like talking to you.

SEOULSEARCH I DESPISE YOU SO MUCH ARGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! (joking) (it helped also)

I'm gonna ignore the ignore button for SEOULSEARCH. Also, will come to deal with her successful attempts of making me think about relationship dynamics.

What's your favorite color? :)

Lol.

I admit, people like you intrigue me.

They basically come in and say, "I HATE YOUR IDEAS, I HATE WHAT YOU'RE DOING HERE, I HATE THAT YOU WON'T SHUT UP, AND I'M NOT VERY FOND OF YOU AS A PERSON, EITHER."

The thing is, all one has to do is hit that magic Ignore button and then they NEVER have to be bothered by my loud, irritatingly ever-typing fingers EVER again. :)

BUT. THEY. DON'T.

NOT. AT. ALL.

They just keep right on showing up in the threads I write and throwing down their confrontations, which always kind of makes me smile.

Maybe it's some kind of co-dependent relationship? "I HATE WHAT YOU'RE DOING HERE, AND I HATE THAT YOU WON'T STOP, BUT I ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY CAN'T STAY AWAY FROM YOU OR WHAT YOU WRITE ANYWAY!!"

Maybe what you're REALLY looking for is a cure.

I suppose the same could be said of me... Seeing as, after all these years, I just keep right on writing. :)

I love seoul threads and always look forward to responding to her somehwat puzzling relationship conundrums that are never solved lol

Love ya seoul. My threads arent like that they are just on random topics of whatever I am thinking of that day. If they had a theme it might be the indignities of being human.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to put you on ignore.

You're on of the funniest, wisest, most common sense people here.
If it werent for you there would be alot less chatter and far less self reflection happening.
Your posts get alot of us thinking. ❤

I'm glad your laughing, because I mean no harm to you at all.

So, I'm intriguing?

1592509906232.jpeg

Is it my smile?

I used to have a co-worker, that did tennis lessons on the side. I quoted a phrase I heard before which was, "if you can't do it, teach it".

Definitely don't think marriage is an ideal situation for me, but if people want to go that route, that is entirely their choice. power to the people.

Maybe a little reverse psychology might work here...

Kinda, my most potent kryptonite is... Chocolate.

Lots and LOTS of MILK chocolate.

So please, if you want me to stop talking about relationships, just confront me with as much milk chocolate as you can manage to muster.

(Little does he know... I can still type threads about relationships while eating chocolate.) :devilish:

Actually, I'm thinking of asking you to be the president of my new Anti-Fan Club/Self-Help Group.

I'd even write a thread to get you started-- "Help!!! I'm Annoyed By All of Seoulsearch's Threads and Topics, But I. Just. Can't. Stop Myself. From Showing Up in Them!!!" ("Somehow, I just can't stay away from her!!"):geek::ROFL:

Hey Everyone,

C. Shell out a small fortune on GrubHub, set up an elaborate table setting with candles (so that people can't see the food -- or containers -- very clearly,) and try to pass THIS off as your own cooking.

D. Order 2 pizzas and call it a day (or evening.)

E. Openly confess that your idea of cooking is popping a cup of ramen noodles in the microwave, and then offer to buy her and her family dinner.

F. I know you all probably have other answers than the ones given, so don't be shy and let's hear them! :)

A definitly not, I have tried to cook for my ex girlfriend on valentine's day and let's just say, the candles and the rose were nice and I was lucky she didn't care about the food much.

B- Seems like lying, which is the opposite of what seems good when you want to establish an relationship with her parents.

C- See anwser to option B

D- Nope, not my style. But could be an last minute option.

E-Haha, that surely looks like me. Even if they do not like me, at least I was honest. And who doesn't like free dinner in a restaurant?

Well whoever I'm dating would already know I abhor cooking. So no ones going to ask me to cook to begin with. So either she will cook or we'll go out to eat. Though pizza is a great option too, in my opinion. 😋
