Foe the last 5 years I have been on blood thinners & as bad as it hurts should I happen to cut myself with a chainsaw, knife, broken glass etc.
Black Pepper is my cure, I carry pouches of black pepper with me where ever I go esp. if I am going digging for antique bottles.
Any time you get cut, just put the pepper on the area and it will stop the bleeding.. & if I happen to clip a main artery it will slow the bleeding enough to give me time to get to the hospital.

Makes me smell good to lol

Wow, I would've thought black pepper would do the opposite. Isn't pepper a blood thinner? Off to google as I do not know.

Ok well I just read this...

The little packages of black pepper from the fast food stores are easy to carry with you and will stop bleeding. All are easy to wash off if you have to go to the doctor. Interesting info.

There may be a burning sensation though. To be contrary I'm currently trending towards white pepper but that's just me. I suppose that with a blood thinning condition if you throw salt in the wound you'll most likely bleed to death.

I know black powder stops bleeding after suffering a gunshot wound. I didn't know about black pepper though. Yes, I can imagine it does burn like crazy.
Great thread. :)

There is a lot more to be said for black pepper. When it is added to a turmeric tea that is so healthful in so many ways it adds to the absorption of the health benefits by up to 2,000%.

Healthline tells us: "Turmeric and black pepper each have health benefits, due to the compounds curcumin and piperine.

As piperine enhances curcumin absorption in the body by up to 2,000%, combining the spices magnifies their effects.

They may reduce inflammation and improve digestion."
