What is not to be understood by that commandment?
A billion a day may be a bet much, but around the globe, there are probably at least a few hundred prayers being directed to Mary at any given moment. How do you suppose she is able to handle them all at once in order to advocate for each one of them? And of course they just keep coming non-stop 24/7.
Not only that, but as far as scripture is concerned, there are only 3 times mentioned where the Messiah spoke to Mary. And He seemed to be a bit perturbed with her 2 of those times. The 3rd time He merely told her to look at her son. He never addressed her as mother but only as woman. Although He did know of the word when He told the disciple at the cross to look at his (the disciple's) mother.
Also, He only spoke 2 times with regard to what someone said about her and again His responses couldn't be considered very flattering.

Correct, other than Galations 4:4 saying that the Messiah was born of a woman, none of the epistle writers ever mention her in any of their letters including the one to the church at Rome and the two by Peter. I wonder why they were not inspired by the Holy Spirit to include any of the Church's dogmas regarding Mary if she is intended to be such a vital part of the Roman/Latin Rite Catholic practicing theology?

The RCC is riven through with divisions ... no wonder they do not talk to each other much. There are conservatives and liberals, traditionalists and charismatics, feminists and not so much, advocates for and against celibacy just to name a few.
The only thing that holds them together is the doctrine of infallibility, but they do not obey the Pope, they all use birth control and the women get abortions.

Abraham was credited with righteousness because he believed God, i.e. he had faith. It is this same faith in Jesus Christ that we are credited with righteousness. Through faith, the believer is credited with the righteousness of Christ. He is representing the believer before God the Father.
God used Mary to bring Christ into the world, representing us in the flesh, except without sin.
Mary should no be prayed to, nor can she forgive sins. She is a believer just as we are. Nowhere in scripture are we ever told to pray to her, nor ask for forgiveness. She was a blessed woman used of God and who also needed a savior. It is Jesus who shed His blood in payment for sin, by which we are saved.
I believe if people pray to Mary the spirit of the devil will pretend to be Mary answer them. I know a lady said Mary talk to her when she fast and pray to Mary.

Since you are a believer in Sola Scriptura, the Bible only, where does it say anything about your idea as posted above, in the Bible?
That's a strawman fallacy. You are misrepresenting the concept of sola Scriptura.
I'm not misrepresenting the concept of Sola Scriptura. You profess that Scripture alone is the Sole authority for truth. So, if you post your thoughts on anything concerning your opinions on God's ways, I feel it completely appropriate that I ask how your ideas fit in with Sola Scriptura. So, explain how they do? Thanks.
Actually, I have not made that profession. Perhaps you should check who is claiming what.
What I do believe is that Scripture is the final authority, not the sole authority. Other truth claims are subject to Scripture, and where they contradict, I take Scripture over the other source. I am well aware that truth is found outside of Scripture, but there is no truth outside of Scripture that contradicts the truth in Scripture. The Catholic entity teaches otherwise.
