As young people we feel a great pressure to fit in, to be accepted and to be "cool"
After having seen many sacrifice their very lives to be "cool" and having been sucked into this myself, I can say that I see a great difference between being "cool" and being actually cool.
"Cool" is something I associate with indifference, self centeredness and acting "bad" or for different people acting "good"
But actually being cool I associate with loyalty, acceptance, charity with time, energy and material, being grounded in oneself without being self centered enough to care specifically about oneself, whether you find yourself always asserting things about yourself to look "good" "bad" or indifferent..
Ive fallen victim to the struggle to be "cool" and now that I am christian to actually be cool, both things are a struggle, "cool" is the struggle to be fake, to assert a false image based on others opinions
cool is the struggle to be real, to assert the true image that God has made for us and to be unaffected by the opinions of "cool"
So we have a choice every second, be "cool" or be cool
