It is very American to do so. The Jefferson and Adams fight saw a polarization of the media according to which side they fell on. You even had some new papers pop up just to get into the fight of ideology. I know now a days we tend to think that it is unique to us but media outlets reporting according to their ideology has been an American practice from early on.

While it is not new I do believe we are seeing it on a much wider scale. As the advent of youtube, facebook, twitter, and a host more.
Has made it so that it is mass consumption of politics for all ages. I recall when I was young I was to busy playing outside, riding my bike, building a tree fort or the such to have time for any political consumption.

Not so now as you see grade school kids talking politics and entrenching on a side. I feel sorry for them because the funniest thing about being a kid was being a kid and the innocence of not having to grow up so fast. The cat is out of the bag at this point so what can be done I have no clue. However. I don't think it is by chance that depression has risen among the young and even grown Americans. As well as the tragedy that the depression does at times lead to suicide.

Trump or whoever having tiffs with the media does not bug me or do I really give it thought as there is nothing new under the sun. The way that it is massed digested though by those who deserve to be kids and grow up by experiencing life by growing up. I think we are doing them a mass disservice and have to find enough really is enough.

Yes, and everyone has a phone that tells them every place this person has been. If they are involved in crimes they discover the stash houses and their contacts. If they made phone calls they get the network that way as well. One person can lead to five more.

Maybe 80% are here illegally and that is it. But 20% are involved in other ways, some with gangs and drugs and human traficking and some with terrorism and money laundry.

Also, even if they don't seize their phones if they know where they live they can tie that location to meta data that NSA has collected. So it doesn't matter if they get new phones each month.
