So is this the page on the DOGE website where everyone is getting the info and numbers everyone is talking about or is there a link on the page to click that gives the details, names ect.? https://doge.gov/
Honestly i didn't even know that existed so thank you for sharing that.
On quick glance i can see that the number as staggering.

But this whole waste phenomenon in USA is something that i've mentioned years ago since i joined here and something i've mentioned about 20 years ago when i started working in office-related settings in USA and i saw the waste firsthand.
I've always said that USA has so much money that even with all this waste, they are the biggest spenders on military and many other areas of life.
During different jobs that i've had, people do mistakes in spreadsheets on the tune of 1-2 million dollars and the insane thing is that not only they're not fired, but they're promoted to another department.
I mean to me, this is crazy but i don't complain a lot (and i have complained in HR dpts trust me, but i learned that they are useless too) and i just do what i have to do to help people within my means while avoiding layers of management.

But i'm glad to see that the Dems pushed the people so hard, where everyone now said: You know what? Enough of this clown show with the Dems and the men in women's sports. Let's go back to common sense and reality.

I was just wondering if I was navigating the page correctly. I've been looking at the page since he announced it was online to so I could see who was giving the money to all these programs but so far it just seems to be post he's making on X. I cant make heads or tails of the receipts on the page because all the info is left blank other than dollar amounts.

He's a geek so i understand him.
I work with computers and i'm surrounded by geeks who have difficultly talking to people or explaining things correctly.
You can see when he talks that it took him like 40 years or 50 years (however old he is) to even do public speaking correctly.
Have you seen Mark Zucherberg? He sweats and looks akward when he speaks because he's a geek.
He had to take public speaking training before facing congress the first time because he knows that he's bad at public speaking.
A lot of geeks don't have this gift (public speaking).

But Elon is true to his geekiness and his mission.
He has a team of young kids who love to geek and work long hours to penetrate all levels of government to expose the waste as they have done.

To me those screenshots look like an internal government program about expenses and he is taking screenshots of those while guarding sensitive information ... i'm guessing.

Bottom line is that i trust what he's doing and he can't do any worse than the Dems. Because this is the sad fact, the Dems have lowered the bar so much that even a child can beat them in politics.
All the child has to say is: I won't allow men in women's sports.
The child wins.

But Elon is no child, he's very smart and he very geeky. These folks like Musk, Mark Z or Bezos are not dumb to get where they are now.
Elon has a ton of money so right now he's doing a public service, which is the goal of the government. To serve.
The Dems had turned it into entitlement.

But a billionaire doesn't care if he loses because he has enough money for 10 generations.
This is why he said : If Twitter fails, it'd be my gift to humanity.

He was on a mission to destroy the woke virus since then. He saw the insanity, the disinformation and all the waste and bureocracy.
And Trump has known this since the 80s being a New York businessman.

Accepting stimulus checks and what not from the federal government will eventually cripple us.

Its to tell us that our money is back, and paying the fine for abusing it.

I don't know if I see myself as a geek but for instance at 3:04pm Feb. 14th 2025 the post says it was earmarked but were no longer needed which is almost correct but the bill HR4820 sponsored by Ron Cole R/Oklahoma is from back in 2023 before DOGE was even created https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/4820 it's the 25th post on the page but it's blurry https://doge.gov/

And then you're saying that the bill was introduced on 2023 here: H.R.4820 - 118th Congress (2023-2024): Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2024 | Congress.gov | Library of Congress

So now i don't understand your point? lol

Yes but if you look at the section (actions taken) it was postponed in 2023 and was never signed into law it was also sponsored(created) by Tom Cole who is a Republican not a Democrat.

Ah ok, i gotcha now.

All right, here's my guess since i've seen this in office settings.

First of all if a department doesn't spend their budget they lose it for next year.
A company may have 50 departments.
Let pick one department for discussion.
Facilities, which handles plumbing and electricity, bathrooms etc.
Let's say their budget is 10 million dollars a year. And let's say that the budget ends in February.
Now, if they have spent 8 million so far and have 2 millions left, they immediately have to go and buy RANDOM STUFF which is NOT NEEDED in order to satisfy the requirement that their budget is 10 million. Otherwise, if they end the year with 8 million, the next year they're going to get 8 million NOT 10.
This is point number 1.
Point number 2 is that because they have to do this "game" with budgets, they have to put these funds into a temporary hold. This is what the Chief Financial Officer of the company does.
And since during transitions like a new re-org or in our case a new election there's a lot of mess (more than usual) sometimes these funds are forgotten.
I mean this is the point of bureaucracy and those millions of dollars of mistakes on excel spreadsheets that i have personally seen at one of my jobs.
People are careless and there's zero accountability! This is what this administration is trying to change.
Then point number 3 is that NONE of these folks in government do their jobs in even reading papers.
Did you know that the Patriot Act was passed overnight without anybody reading 900 pages or whatever the number was?
Regardless if they were Dems or Republicans?
APPROVED!

But guys i see a point in there about a 500 billion dollar contract for un-authorized telephone tapping of the citizens to Jimmy's cousin who works at the Pentagon?
HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THE BILL AFTER WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO AMERICA?

Again, this mindset is being fixed by Elon's geeks.
This is the point, the Reps or Dems don't do their jobs, funds are in limbo, nobody knows where the money goes. I mean it's insane.

That's sort of my thinking in that even if it was FY24 it was passed 75-22 by the 118th Congress and sponsored by John Carter R/Texas https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/4366

So why are you are against those exposing massive handouts to bad causes?
Elon has been exposing fraud that had been abusing our tax dollars.
I’m against federal handouts in general. You are in favor of it. I’ll leave it at that.

How do you come up with this stuff, seriously? :D

So if is a propaganda arm of the Russians, does this mean that you support USA withdrawing from it?

I wonder what you'll say now.
When it comes to the UN he can do whatever he wants, in my opinion.

Ok... Now I see what you are basing your rant on ... It's silly.

But, it works when you wish to save face, I suppose.
