True informed patriots know that both Democrats and Republicans are just two sides of the same coin.
It was only a matter of time before the emotional argument came in. If it will save 1 child...You have no evidence that any special needs child will be left behind. Yet we do have proof that test scores for students went down markedly due to policies instituted by the Department of Education during covid.
While this is in part true, it's not true of Trump. He's a political outsider, and he's there to change the status quo. He'll get the truth about the corruption out this time.

Are you seriously this clueless? Every single president does things that the other party does not agree with. If it is unconstitutional that is for the Supreme court to decide. The more you talk the more ignorant and foolish you appear.
The only impact this will have on education is that we will now be able to get more for our money.

I have children that are currently in school with IEP’s. Department of education is in charge of IEP’s. This would end their IEP’s. This would not be a good thing for my children.
If he was an insider, he would be doing insider things. You don't get impeached twice over bogus things or have court cases brought against you for being an insider.
Remind me, how many times Biden was impeached or charged?

I feel for you, I truly do, these students are the most vulnerable and their programming and supports (IEP) should be legally protected.

It's all emotionalism and what if ism. Meanwhile, my children were harmed by the increase debt placed on them by record spending of the last administration, harmed by the inflation and interest rates when buying homes, and harmed by all the ridiculous social policies. Real harmed that you suffered, as well as all Americans.

I was a teacher for many years and I also had a child who had an IEP. You don't know what you are talking about. The federal government passes laws, they have no constitutional right to control education but what they do is take tax payer money and give it to schools who follow their instructions, It is corrupt and it is unconstitutional.
These laws include imposing rules on schools without providing funding. For the suburbs that may have twice as much money as the inner city they can afford to subsidize these rules. But the inner city can't and they can't afford to not get the money from the Federal government. So there is a loophole, it is called "least restrictive environment". If you have a lot of money that can be a small classroom with ten students and two teachers. But for the inner city that is a classroom of 34 students and 1 teacher. They put all the kids together, this is not helpful to your best students, nor is it helpful to the students that need the most help. When kids are bored or frustrated because they don't understand they will act out and disrupt the class. So the classroom becomes chaos. Then you have other kids who think it is funny to push the buttons of either of these two groups. They don't do enough to get disciplined themselves but can be very instrumental in creating a circus like atmosphere.
Granted, if you are an experienced teacher with ten years, and you are very serious about being a professional you can overcome all this. But most of these teachers will move to the suburb to teach. The suburbs pay more and so they like to get teachers with four or five years experience before they even enter one of their classrooms. So the inner city becomes the minor leagues for teachers. In a well funded suburb a teacher can make twice what they get paid in the inner city between their salary and the pay for clubs and tutoring. Also you don't have to worry about the circus like atmosphere of the inner city, they can afford teachers to take on the IEP students separately.
If you understand this then you understand that "no child left behind" means "no child gets ahead". That is the plan for the inner city. Give the rich suburbs a big advantage in education so that their kids become the leaders and the inner city kids can be cashiers and other low wage jobs.
I agree that the steps Trump is taking are extreme. If our national debt was $4 trillion and our annual tax revenue was $4.5 trillion these steps would be unreasonably extreme. However, our debt is like a man who makes 100k a year having a credit card debt of 800k. No one is going to loan money to this guy, how come they let him get this far into debt? Because he is a mafia crime boss. It is like the mafiosos in Goodfellows who ran the Italian restaurant into the ground. That is where we are right now. By any normal measure the US is broke. In this situation you have to take extreme measures. However, no one should be under any illusion that Trump is going to rescue the restaurant. Chances are still very great that they burn the US economy to the ground and try to collect the insurance.
