In addition all gospel preaching denominations have online their distinctive Christian beliefs online.
The bible defines what I must believe not a creed written by men...... hah
Are you calling the early elders lying about what was in the hand copied expensive and rare copies of the Bible. Why do you keep ranting about early church methods that only exist before the printing press was invented. You just keep trying to make believe they had current technology back then!!!
Please explain why you keep repeating this idiocy!!! Your like a broken record that can't advance beyond the break.

that is you adding to the word, it doesn't say the thief was filled with the Holy Spirit.
He had to be or otherwise he would not be with Jesus in paradise. There was nothing added to the Word as it was spiritually implied that the thief would be filled with the Holy Spirit. I don't see how it is spiritually possible to obtain salvation without being filled with the Holy Spirit.

It is impossible to be saved without being born again from above by the Spirit, immersed into the Spirit and sealed by the Spirit....!!

Any Christian knows the answer to that question. My point is what are you trying to accomplish!! Out the person as not a Christian?
You did not make that point or ask what I was trying to accomplish.

FYI I was not trying to out the person as not a Christian.

If that was your point you should have asked and not respond the way you did.

I am probably wrong here but was it possible that he was not filled with Holy Spirit?
Did he believe because he was Jesus in the flesh?

John 20:29
29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

I know the above applies to Thomas after the resurrection but could it apply to those who saw him and believed in him before he died and rose again.

You always make a false claim. I do not place the creeds above the Bible. The issue is you need to explain where the creeds conflict with the Bible. I have gone to a couple of churches that have the Apostles Creed said in unison by the congregation. That is how high those denominations consider the creeds.

You keep using 20th century abilities with 212 to 500 abilities to have access to the Bible. They were exceedingy rare and expensive.

I have told you this several times. So why do you keep going down the same stupid path. Are you that brain dead.

You are exposing your ignorance again. In 212 there was no Catholic Church!! There was a Catholic Church back then only in your mind!!
ROTFLMAO

Try using real facts instead of your perverted view of history.

The Roman Catholic church was official from when it was legalised by Emperor Constantine in 313, and it became the state religion in 380

However was active from much earlier than that. Claiming that Peter even went to Rome without external substantiation , the only evidence is evidence they provide. The Bible clearly say Peter went to Babylon not Rome. Paul was in Rome as that was his ministry. the two rarely crossed paths .

Long term baptist tells me that is their belief. In studying their time frame it is since the 1960's. It is my understanding that the baptist associations have taught this for several years...since 1960's. I want to validate the teaching and when it began.
Maybe the preacher did not make it clear?

having attended any church or a Baptist church does mean one is saved. Salvation is a free gift. Baptist position is rooted in the Bible. 1960 is late. Just curious, how old are you?
Church attendance does not save you.

Water baptism has nothing to do with salvation. Any who believe it does are the ones changing Gods Word. Water baptism is about obedience to Christ. He said for us to be water baptized. For many, it is the 1st act of obedience. Water baptism serves a specific purpose:

To serve as a witness to both the world and the Church that a person has become a believer in and follower of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. The "one Baptism" spoke of in Scripture is the baptism of the Holy Spirit thru the applying of the the precious blood of Christ that cleanses us of our sins, and allows us to become worthy to be called sons of God, and worthy to become heirs of the Promise.

"Repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sin...."

Why is one being baptized?

To have their sins forgiven, or because their sins WERE forgiven upon repenting and accepting Christ as Lord and Savior? Pretty simple, but so very many get it wrong........... Hmm

Try this:

"Repent and jump for joy for the forgiveness of sin,..."

Is one jumping for joy to have their sins forgiven, or because their sins were forgiven?

Know who taught that water baptism did not save? A well known Southern Baptist Preacher, Teacher and Author:
Adrian Rogers.

(just saying)
Water baptism is a public statement by that person that they have already accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Baptism in water by full immersion-- not about eternal salvation... happens after being saved.. not for infants
Baptism of the Holy Spirit-- can't see any scripture where it is about eternal salvation.. can see scripture where it is about God empowering assemblies of believers as His churches.

Baptism by full immersion of believers only also goes way back before 1600 to the first christian churches.

Whether water baptism is required for salvation will never be fully agreed here.

People just ping pong between Mark 16:16/Acts 2:38 versus Paul's epistles. Both sides will stand fast on their ground and the ping pong will continue on and on.

I think what Jesus said when he was baptized is very important in understanding the purpose of baptisim.

"But Jesus answering said to him, “Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he *permitted Him."
MATTHEW 3:15 NASB

Very interesting statement "it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness", and while this was him and John and spoken directly about the situation at hand. I think there is more to it, and that it has meaning to us as well.
