Hello CC-ians,
this is practically my first thread and, to all the teens out there, have you been backslided from Christianity as I think i did, and i think my life's shouldn't be what it should be and i'm puzzled.

Please share your thoughts.

When I first considered the word, ''backslided,'' I thought of someone sliding backwards, like Michael Jackson.

What could be wrong with sliding backwards? But this word would sound better if it were called, ''BACKPULLING!!''

Then I learned that it was in reference to an animal. Maybe a donkey, that would slide backwards when it's master would try to pull it forward. Most of the time because of being stubborn. And even now I am learning something that a friend of mine tried to share with me.

One good thing I can see about this is that, ''At least the donkey is still being tugged forward!!!''

Imagine if the master stop striving with the donkey, and just let it go off and do what was not best for it (this is how we are by nature, to slide back), well, then that would be terrible!!. But God strives with us by his Spirit. But he has said he will not strive forever.

In Romans 1 we read about when the Lord will stop striving.

It is the love of God that leads one to repentance. But I could not understand the weight of his love until I realized the penalty of my sin, which is hell, and eternal damnation in fire. OH THE WEIGHT!!!

I cry out for mercy and so people can repent and obey Jesus in love. Without love no one will enter heaven. But Jesus Christ is the way to heaven, because his words are true, and I cannot deny it.

It isn't about Christianity, it is about Jesus Christ. Follow him, not Christianity. May Jesus bless you.

thank you, Ramon!

as what you've said,
But I could not understand the weight of his love until I realized the penalty of my sin

i guess after few sinful "sins" i've done, i realized that all of these gotta stop and i need to seek repentance, thank you :) God bless you too!

Go after the grace of God because grace is your teacher (Titus 2:11,12). The Holy Spirit is a Spirit of grace (Heb 10:29) and the scripture is God's word of grace (Acts 20:32). As believers we were saved by grace (Eph 2:8,9), we are to grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ (2Pt 3:18) and we are to walk in Christ the same way we recieved Him, by grace through faith (Col 2:6, 1Thes 4:1).
