The only reason I would is laziness. There's certainly nothing better out there than what I have here with God.
Unfortunately I am one of the laziest people I know. I have to keep firmly in mind that I actually want to do what I am doing as a Christian, that there is a good reason for it. I have to remind myself that I actually want to see the effects of Christianity in my life and the lives of those around me. Otherwise I'll just blow it off.

I had to look up this word first but yes we're all backslidden otherwise we'd all be in union with God now wouldn't we?

Doubting and questioning are, unfortunately, human nature. Second-guessing, wondering...
Do not lose faith, don't discount the work the Spirit does in our lives. I firmly believe that our walk with God is similar to a roller coaster... and it can change day by day... if not hour by hour.
Remember, Satan is actively working to weaken your faith and trust in God.... we all are affected by it at times, but our faith is what brings us through. Faith that God loves us, and He means what He says....
