What do people think about someone who attends different churches, without wanting to commit to just one? A person I know of sys God is everywhere so why limit yourself to one church.

I and my family belong to our own local church where we have friends and have settled over the years. We have certain duties and like to help out. To change would be a very big deal for me. I would only do so for good reason.

In the short term perhaps they are trying to judge which church to settle in? If someone does this in the long term however I think it can be an issue because there is a blessing to be had in commitment to a church. Blessings for you as you serve and grow. But also blessings to that church and the other believers there. A committed believer acts as an encouragement to the leadership and an inspiration to other believers. Someone who is not really committed can act as a discouragement to others.

Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. This passage reflects that we can encourage one another by meeting together. Even the presence of a committed believer is an encouragement. God Bless :)

There are a few reasons why such behaviour may be legitimate (for a season), and many why it may not. The OP hasn't shared enough details for us to make a right judgment, so IMHO it's better not to do so.

I think being committed to one church for the most part is best so you can build relationships (once you find the right church), however one should be able to attend other churches/participate in other activities/small groups, etc. without guilt. I think the expectation that you don't mingle with other churches in unhealthy and maybe unBiblical. I believe churches fear that you might find a "better" church and stop supporting them; that is not a good reason for wanting people to attend your church.
