The true sniper rifles are bolt actions built off of the remington 700 action. A bolt action is much easier to make accurate than a semi auto. The ar15/m4 is the standard issue and fires a 223/5.56 caliber round. Which is the same round as the m240 machine guns. Old battle rifles were built around the 308 cartridge.I know of no sniper that can do that. I watched a guy do that about 7 out of 10 times at 100 yards with an AR, but not 1000.
As of June 2021, the world record for the smallest 1,000-yard heavy gun 10-shot group is 2.6566 inches, set by Charles at the Tucson Rifle Club in Three Points, Arizona. This broke the previous record of 3.650 inches set by Tim Height in 2019. Charles also set a 1,000-yard heavy gun 10-shot score of 100-10X, beating the previous record of 100-6X set by Bill Schrader in 2005
The kid used an AR which is nowhere in same category as sniper rifle.
