That doesn't really make sense, but I'll try to follow. If Trump and Vance win then after 4 years there will be another election, since Trump has served two terms there will be another ticket. Ostensibly Vance would run in the GOP primary as a candidate but he would have to win the primary to get the nomination. If we suppose this and then say Vance somehow decided to drop out after winning the nomination then RNC itself would either appoint a nominee (typically of any candidates from the primary cycle that remained in the race) or if Vance had chosen a running mate prior to the convention then his running mate would assume the top of the ticket on the principle that this was the will of the people in voting for that ticket. So in short no, Trump would not remain President after 2028.

One thing that was clear from the attack yesterday is that the deep state would have had an advantage of choosing and announcing the Republican candidate in the upcoming RNC if things didn't turn out this way.
It's probably wise for Trump to done that and he Exercised wisdom this time.

The fact that he's Done Jr's friend is a good sign. Do you happen to know if this guy is a Christian farmer ?

There was another middle American candidate for Senate a while back who I remember was a homeschooling Christian farmer. I was hoping it was him. . It wasn't him after all. So far he sounds pretty good though. This is important since he would be next in line in 4 years.

Some might speculate Trump's choice of Vance is also because of a possibility of the other side assassinating him. Vance while he started out as a critic of Trump has quickly become more MAGA-centered. So in theory assassinating Trump in order to try to put a RINO in his place seems unfeasible now. I think also even before the assassination attempt Vance has a leg up because he has become friends with Don Jr. in recent years. As for Vance's early life he grew up in poverty, not sure if on a farm or not. He is also a veteran having served in the Marines which is somewhat interesting as there hasn't been a President or VP candidate that was a veteran of the recent wars yet.

Not neccessarily. While Vance is indeed a straight white male that the left loves to hate, it should be noted that Vance is in a mixed race marriage as Vance's wife is Indian, and so, if he were to win she would become the first woman of color to be Second Lady. Also interestingly it seems the two were flung together by Vance's teacher Amy Chua, an asian woman famous for her book Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. Granted I do not believe he was chosen for his mixed race marriage, connection to Amy Chua, nor for his being a straight white male, but rather believe he was chosen for his merits as well as ideology.

I was meaning politically aligned actually but I guess I've gotten thumbs down since I said that so I'll figure it out as time goes. I first read through the Bible forum but it seems sort of flat, is everyone preterit here on cc? After that I moved to the news forum but after a day or so my impression is it should be called the political forum or thread instead.

Then the disloyal RNC brought Nikki Haley into their convention, to add insult to injury. So Trump is already surrounding himself with his enemies once again. Very sad.

Expecting change while doing (voting for) the same thing is the very definition of insanity. And the only wasted vote is one cast for more of this insanity.

It's a catch-22 ... there will be no viable 3rd party candidates until the voters show they're willing to vote for one, and the voters won't vote for one until there's a truly viable candidate.

So I will check some podunk on the ballot who has no chance of winning, just to say give me someone other than those two losers.

And that the emperorS have no clothes.

I'm in the camp like Luke 21:8 and onward and so I wont be led away just because they said they came in Jesus name or that they confess he is the Christ, Jesus pretty much warned us to look for just that and to expect they would come.

God NEVER said stop what I have foretold, He said get ready for it.

satan has us thinking we can vote our way out from under what God has foretold.

By voting for more of the insanity.
